Beautiful place to spend some time

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very nice, clean and well kept. The appliances were all modern and functioned well, the proximity to the beach (right across the street) was perfect and my family had a great time. The location is very quite and perfect for a family get away, very little traffic on the roads and plenty of room on the beach to spread out.

Comfort in Paradise!

This beach house is really bright, welcoming, and relaxing. The location is perfect, and the beach at Saint George Island is beautiful! We would love to come back sometime and would highly recommend this place.

The property was perfect for my husband and I and 1 another couple. This was the 2nd time that we have stayed at the Island Sand Dollar and was just as impressive as it was 4 years ago. The kitchen was supplied with everything that we needed to cook dinner with. The house was perfect and spotless and we will be staying again. Thank you for listing it and allowing us to stay there. BTW I replaced the batteries in the bedroom & my husband repaired the handle on the toilet. TY again!

The living room area was very spacious, the kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking utensils one would need, and the beach decor and furnishings had all the beach feels that we were hoping for. The home is located just across the street from the beach via a sandy path that felt like our own the entire stay. The outside seating on the deck and under the house made perfect little spots to unwind and relax after a long day at the beach. We would definitely stay at the Island Sand Dollar again.

Great Beach Cottage

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Island Sand Dollar. It was very comfortable and well-appointed for our party of 4. The location is fantastic, just a quick walk to the beach. Communication was also very good. We look forward to another visit. Thank you for sharing this cute cottage.

The property was great. Even though across the street, you could still see the water from the porch

We had a great time on our first trip to St George Island. And we enjoyed our stay at Island Sand Dollar very much. The House was very nice and accommodating for our family. We loved being able to watch the dolphins each morning and afternoon whether from the front porch or on the beach which was only steps away from the house.

Amazing location steps to the beach

The location of this property was just amazing! Steps from the beach and ocean views when you wake up! The property was clean and was well stocked for a VRBO. I would stay here again and I would also recommend to others. There are steps, so if you're not able to use steps this could be a difficult property.

Very nice, well appointed and right across the street from the beach!

Very clean and nicely decorated. We had everything we needed except a garbage disposal. Loved the sitting area and hammock under the house. Short easy walk to the beach. Thank you!

Perfect size, perfect location, great value

My family of 5 includes three young children. The house was perfect for our family size, and we loved the easy beach access! The kitchen was great, the beds and furniture were comfortable, and the hammock below the house was a huge hit. It felt so homey that my kids didn't want to leave! We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great house at a great value on St. George Island.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Island Sand Dollar was the 11th home we’ve rented on SGI, and easily one of our favorites. We immediately noticed upon arrival how clean the home was—much cleaner than most we’ve rented. The decor is lovely, and the home was configured nicely four our family of four. We loved sitting on the newly re-decked porch to watch the sun set and the convenient beach access trail just across the street from the driveway. The kitchen is so well stocked, we were surprised. Overall, we loved this home and will likely rent it again.

Great Stay at Island Sand Dollar - Summer 2016

Don - We had a GREAT stay at Island Sand Dollar (ISD) this summer (14 nights!!). Your house is great! Access to the beach is quick and easy, which is one reason we chose ISD! We especially enjoyed the area under the house with the hammock and sitting area.....a great place to sit, enjoy the breeze and read a book!! The kids loved the outdoor shower!! No complaints, but if I did have one suggestion, it would be to provide some additional cooking items, e.g. a basic oven cookie sheet and a large casserole dish. Again, thanks for allowing us to rent your home and thanks again for a great two weeks!

Beautiful view from from the deck, and gate is a nice touch for the dogs. Loved that it was so close to the beach.Property manager was very responsive when issue with internet after a storm.We had everything we needed for our stay. Would suggest providing more towels, and maybe an update to master bath, but overall a fantastic property. Definitely recommend and will stay again!

Paradise

This is our second stay at Island Sand Dollar and it's as perfect as it was our last visit. The house is so comfortable, has everything you could possibly need and is an oasis of peace and quiet. You can sit on the porch, watching the waves, birds and breeze and find peace in your soul. The bed is so comfortable, the livingroom is the perfect place to recline on the comfy sofas and read or gaze out the windows, this truly is a place of recharging your batteries. We were delayed by the hurricane that hit our area and Jamie was wonderful working with us to make our time here work, can't thank you and the property owners enough for that. We will be coming back to Island Sand Dollar again and again and again, a home away from home.

Lindsey was particularly kind, courteous and friendly! Despite the weather, I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday stay on the island--my favorite place to be! (And this house is next door to the one I regularly rented and leased from a friend for many years. I love the location. The shower head in the master bathroom was wonderful and therapeutic to my back and neck. I loved the decor and openness of the living area. A couple suggestions: Since the view is restricted by houses and vegetation, pruning the tops of the shrub next to the palm (beautifully kept) would help. The heat seems to blow almost constantly even tho it's set on auto and it feels colder than the temp as if a fan is blowing on you.
