"The cottage is fine and it is in a nice location BUT the details of the cottage listed on the Expedia website and Sykes Cottages are different and misleading. Expedia shows the cottage to be within the Penzance city centre & 8 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The cottage is 8 miles (13 kms.) from the Penzance city centre. "Excellent property. Everything feels new - solid wooden internal doors, downstairs wet room, spacious kitchen/diner, bi-fold doors to patio and garden...We were 4 couples and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights. It's about a 10 min walk to the town. You need to cross the road to get to a path - as it's on a bend visibility isn't great so it can be a bit hairy - if you're planning on staying with kids you'll need to be extra careful. Overall I highly recommend this property."

8/10 Good

"Beautiful property, great location and staff provided an excellent standard of service. The WhatsApp connection to concierge works brilliantly and saves a lot of hassle, too. I’m not sure that the Grandhomes (apartments physically disconnected from the hotel building) represent good value, though. I would look first towards a room in the main hotel building. Also, beware of lots of additional charges for meals and hotel services. I found this particularly disappointing considering the price point."

"Clean, helpful and friendly hosts who knew my name. A great breakfast included with even freshly carved ham. No air conditioning but based on probability not a great issue. No fridge. They should highlight the close availability of public transport to and from St Ives where it is impossible to get a parking spot."

"The only thing wrong is that the hotel needs upgrading, there were stains on the carpet in reception, as well as in the bar area, in some of the rooms as well. if you are an older guest or have mobility problems the room that we were in, had a bath, with a shower over but I could not access, no room to sit on the toilet as the basin was too close to the toilet and had a nasty crack in it. No lift to access our room, just a staircase which I have a job to use as I have severe arthritis. My fault I should of asked about disabled facilities."

"Cannot fault Boskerris Hotel. We had The Tiny Room and wondered how that would work out. Gorgeous room and En-suite, with everything we needed. Food was excellent with so much choice. Hotel lounge fab and view from the terrace was amazing. But what made our stay really special were the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they were all just so lovely. We will definitely be returning."

"The hotel was absolutely amazing it felt like we were staying in a completely refurbished room. The owners were fantastic and they made sure that the room was spotless every day. We have stayed in many hotels in London lately and the cleanliness of this hotel would beat these hands down. They have a great policy on towel changing to help the environment which I love. We changed once on our trip. We stayed in number 5 and we had a sea view. The owners actually asked us which room we wanted out of 2 rooms. The breakfast was a combination of cereal, orange juice, bottled water, pastry, breakfast bars and lovely yogurts all in the room fridge. Great location between St Ives and Hayle with easy bus and train routes. The nearest beach was Carbis Bay and it was stunning."
