If you're looking for a safe, convenient, affordable place to stay on St. John, that's a short 5 minute walk to Cruz Bay, then this economical studio apartment is for you. Air conditioned, phone, WIFi, cable TV, small kitchen, and quiet. Cozy raised (3 feet) sleeping alcove for a peaceful nights rest. No need to rent a car or pay for taxis, you can be in the heart of Cruz Bay in a short 5 minute walk through a beautiful neighborhood. If you want to swim and go snorkeling, then Frank Bay is even closer. Family owned and operated with quiet and considerate neighbors. This small studio apartment is perfect if you’re looking for an affordable, clean, and safe place to sleep and relax on our garden deck. The apartment is cozy, convenient, and equipped with pretty much whatever you’ll need. If you don’t like Caribbean breezes, turn on the mini-split, high capacity, ductless A/C to cool the entire place when you return from the beach. Last National Park

I needed to go to St. John to go to the last of 63 National Parks. This unit fit the bill for me as it was close to Cruz Bay and had off street parking. The unit is a bit small and dated. The team was wonderful to work with and communicated with me extremely well. They even drove me to the unit from the ferry, I chose to walk back when leaving.

Easy, economical above Gallows Point

Everything you need is in the unit. Easy walk downhill to the Cruz Bay area. Off street parking is nice to keep rental car safe. Forego the high end resort fees for amenities you would not use and put that money towards a rental car so you can explore all the great places or hire a boat to take you to those places you can’t access via car.

Just right for our needs

We enjoyed our stay! Communication was really exceptional from start to finish. Our internet wasn’t working when we first arrived, and the property manager came right away to fix the issue. Water was running low one morning, and the property manager messaged us to let us know a water truck was on the way before we got a chance to message her. The walk back up from town is a little tough, but not bad if you’re in decent shape. We would definitely consider staying here again if/when we return!

Overall good experience & we would stay again. Steven & Jovanna were both very prompt in responding to questions and assisting with any needs. Below are the pros/cons in our opinion: the place was clean, good location, convenience of the hosts supplying a cooler & beach chairs for guests, shower water pressure was lacking, parking spot is off the street which is nice just know it’s a tight space to squeeze in due to other cars and a concrete wall across from the spots.

Convenient

Property is close to town. Walking to grocery store or to catch taxi. Made trip great since we did not rent a vehicle. It is a small space but had everything we needed!! We look forward to visiting again!!

The studio!

Perfect spot to base your St. John Adventure! We had a wonderful time staying here. Location is great and walkable to Cruz Bay, where you will find lots of restaurants and shops. We did rent a vehicle to explore the island for a few days, but that would not really even be necessary. It was beautiful. You could easily cook at home if you liked, and the owner is very helpful and easy to communicate with.

You can't beat the location!

This was my first time in st. John, and I don't think I could have found a better location to stay. I was 3 minutes from the car ferry. The property has a designated parking space, which was very convenient. You are a 2 minute walk from Frank Bay, which is a prime spot for sunset. I had dinner reservations at Ocean 362 at The Gallows, and it was a 3 minute walk. 5 minute walk to Wharfside, where the shops and ferry (for people) are. I made the mistake the first day to drive and park near the visitor center and Mongoose junction. It's barely a 15 minute walk. If you don't take Hill Street and walk closer to the water it is an easier walk. I traveled as a solo woman and had zero concerns regarding safety. It is a safe location. Near everything, but in a quiet neighborhood so you don't hear the night life activity. The property has everything you need. Indoor shower, AC (brand new), kitchen, and closet. There are plenty of beach towels and beach chairs. Even a small cooler. It's large enough for a solo traveller or couple. You get all of these amenities with a fraction of the price of other VRBO's in the area, and you don't miss out on a thing. Danny was the property manager for the week, and he was extremely quick to answer any questions or address any issues. Steve is an amazing host, very attentive, and genuinely wants to make sure you have a wonderful stay. Thank you for making my first time at St. John a memorable (and affordable) one!

Great little place to stay in Cruz Bay

Bob was a great host. He lives nearby and was very nice. The place was clean and right there close to town so easy to walk to the restaurants. Hot shower and soft bed and kitchen with all of the necessities.

Relaxing getaway

I enjoyed my stay in this cozy studio. It's a nice, safe spot to enjoy fresh breezes and short walks to view the water, the birds and butterflies. Walking a bit further, I was able to get groceries, go to the national park for a hike and catch a taxi for a snorkeling excursion. The kitchen is equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, pots and pans. The property management did a great job taking care of me, with pick up and drop off at the ferry dock, and letting me know where things were. It's basic, comfortable and affordable, which is what I was looking for. I would stay there again!

A/C too moldy to use, owner in denial

A/C was too moldy to use, manager came and looked at it, owner claimed it was "fixed" but ignored evidence to contrary - still stunk of mold. I sent photos to owner (in Colorado) of moldy A/C vents (after manager "fixed" problem), moldy shower curtain and window, dirty refrigerator, and dust-clogged fan. After repeat follow up ("Did you look at photos I sent??"), owner completed ignored any existence of photos or any deficiency in cleaning and refused to communicate further with me.

Perfect location!

We could walk to stores, food and excursions. Place is small but clean. It has a standard size fridge now and a TV on the wall. Place is small but we just slept there and spent the days out exploring the island. We want to a lot of places but we also had a rental car so we could explore the whole island. We loved all of the beaches and snorkeling and scuba diving! Loved walking to restaurants shopping. There’s a peacock and iguanas that live nearby. Manager was great to work with! Very helpful with places to eat, etc. Thanks! We’ll stay here again If we get to come back!

Studio was smaller than pictured .If your 6 foot tall the bedroom is not separate from the rest of the studio. It is 4 feet to get on the bed . if you roll off the bed you are in trouble . The closet is only 4 foot hide . Not suitable for older people .

St John getaway

Very nice apartment just right for two people. My husband and I had a relaxing time. I really enjoyed the two minute walk to Frank bay to snorkel.
