“Check in was a breeze. My grands loved watching the boats on the river. Dogs roamed the fenced yard. Perfect deck for family dinners, game night and wine with a beautiful sunset. We loved it here! ”

The host was gracious enough to decorate for Christmas, including stockings above the fireplace, and a tree - it was the perfect touch to providing a warm place to spend vacation away from home. “This is a very nice property with more positives than negatives.I'll put the negatives first: No curtains on windows other than in the bedrooms/bathroom. This one seems kind of odd, but there is no way to cover the windows in the kitchen, dining room, or living room (which faces the lake). This combined with slightly close neighbors means that the lights they leave on or conversations can be seen and heard. I could not get the side door to lock. The only other part that can be considered a……

“By far my favorite rental we have ever stayed in. Both the house and the boathouse were clean and beautifully furnished. The dock was easy to navigate with a boat, and the view from the front porch was stunning. The island was very quiet and peaceful, with lots of wildlife all around. The house was well furnished and stocked, but you will need to bring your own shower toiletries. Boat rentals are available from Clayton Marina and include a free slip and a parking spot for trips into town. ”

We appreciated the kayaks that were available for our use and the ability to dock our pontoon boat so conveniently. Keith and his wife are fantastic hosts!
