“This is an okay place to stay while visiting St Leonard’s and Hastings. It seems to be a family-run place and full breakfast is provided and is good.Quick walk to the train and to the beach and laundromat. Some improvements have been made to the property which are cosmetic and actually quite silly. There was an attempt to make this old hotel look opulent while neglecting things like upgraded beds and bedding, soundproofing rooms, replacing broken window seals and fresh paint on the exterior.……

“Needs a major upgrade. Poor heating due hardly being on and with insufficient window insulation. In fact sash windows can’t close so top of one window was stuffed with tissue. Had to improvise with a towel as the gap in middle needed blocking! General plumbing needs replacing as the smell wasn’t good and outside in the general area had air fresheners all over. Stairs and general decor is in poor condition. Big mistake not reading previous reviews 😡”

“We absolutely loved our stay here, equisite attention to detail, stunning location and decor, luxury without formality, and quite simply the most delicious breakfast you could wish for (make sure you try the granola!!) Will be recommending to everyone and hope to return again one day. Many thanks for a wonderful stay. ”

“We had a lovely stay in the Beacon View accommodation. It has a back deck with a superb view so we were disappointed it rained for the whole time lol. Perfect spot for exploring the South Downs National Park, or hopping to Lewes, or like us a day trip to Drusillas Zoo....”
