“We were given a room inferior than what we booked. Apart from that breakfast was nice, room was clean. Checked on at 3 but room only available after 4.”

Whether I was heading out to explore the hubbub or grab a bite at nearby restaurants, everything was just outside the door. The room was stylish, with little touches that make a stay feel special. “There will be free ticket for whitby abbey. The building is nice and historical. Many facilities for guests to use. I like the drinking water the most. A bit difficult to find the entrance and the 199 steps to hostel is without light at night. It is a bit dangerous if you back to hostel late at night as you can't see the steps. The breakfast is very tasty and many different choices to choose.”

“Brasserie lovely and food great, location great and really smart. Unfortunately we felt underwhelmed for the price we paid, prices are similar to that of rudding park and sadly it just doesn’t match. We were waiting over an hour for food in the pizzeria, which seemed to prioritise takeaway orders and then I was ill in the night. The staff on reception were helpful and it was nice but standards fell short and there were niggles throughout such as room issues, only being allowed one fan,……

“Walking distance to the North Yorkshire Moor Railway. Very friendly, helpful staff. Room had beautiful view a field of sheep. Excellent food, chef fantastic. ”

“The room ( junior suite ) was cold as the radiators were not working when we arrived. Reception was informed at about 4,00 pm but nothing improved until several houirs later. Two electric heaters were put in the room and the radiators eventually came on. The 'fault', we weere told, was the room thermostst which was located outside in the hallway (???) and somebody had turned it off. Shame that the management didn't check the room thoroughly prior to our arrival. Otherwise, great room,……
