Michael was excellent with corresponding from our initial inquiry about booking their place to occasional emails asking if we needed anything during our stay. Unit was immaculate & smelled great every time we entered. Kitchen was well stocked & we didn't want for anything. The balcony's beachfront view of neighbouring islands was our favourite & we could see the multi level pool as well. Never had an issue with chair availability. The grounds & beach bar have improved considerably since our last visit pre pandemic. AWe will certainly contact Michael for our return visit.

Perfect

We had a great stay with this host! We originally booked a studio style apartment with a great view, and we were upgraded to a duplex style room with 2 balconies and a king size bed. Everything was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed to have an amazing stay. The host communicated very well and gave us great instructions to ensure our stay went smoothly, as well as provided us with great recommendations for things to do around the island. The resort itself is awesome, great snorkeling, great bar, amazing coffee shop, beautiful boutique, and an amazing fine-dining restraunt (sea salt). I would recommend you stay here if you are looking for an amazing view, host, and resort. 10/10

Not worth the money

Exceptional rating is a joke. My husband and I have stayed at 20 VRBOs and this was the worst: • Bathroom - toilet ran all night, shower ran either very hot or cold, neither sink or shower drained. Door would not open all the way.• Furniture – kitchen chairs very wobbly as support spokes literally fell out, vanity chair fell apart, high top patio table and chairs also very wobbly, little patio table unusable as there was no glass top. Both the doors to patio and in the room needed grease as they were difficult to open. No extra pillows or blankets.• Kitchen – on its first use, toaster nearly caught fire filling kitchen with smoke and of course microwave fan over stove did not work. Missing the basic kitchen items - no measuring cups or spoons, no spatula, no wine bottle opener, etc.We contacted owner - no reply; we contacted the 2nd number and they sent a someone next day who fixed the toilet & shower drain. By Tuesday, we still had not heard from owner and texted again. He finally sent someone to fix the sink drain and glue the chairs.While you will get a “if there is anything I can do for you please let me know” text from the owner, he did not respond to ours until 3 days later. No apologies or offer of credit and implied that the view and beach should make up for the room. Ridiculous. He has several units and I hope by now he’s had his maintenance guy inspect each of them to confirm that plumbing, appliances and furniture are in working order for guests.

Magical stay

The condo was beautiful and when we looked out the glass patio doors the view was absolutely breathtaking. We were a short walking distance to the pool and the beach bar and restaurants. We were also a 5 min taxi drive to Redhook and a short walk to Sudi’s for breakfast. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a memorable trip to St. Thomas.

Great location and nice place. It would be good to know what is not supplied, ie. toilet paper so we can get it before arrival. The unit's futon is small for a gown adult man.

Unsafe property and crazy host

Host yelling at me to "leave my condo now" because I asked him to change battery in Nest AC that showed "very low battery". Host is unhinged and the property has no way to mechanically lock door from inside (to prevent host entering while your are asleep). Called the police to report his aggressive behavior and in the morning woke to a hot condo without electricity. Host, after telling me to "get out" will not refund my payment for 16 days when I was there one horrible night. Worst VRBO ever.

As advertised - beach front great experience

This was a great place to stay at. Great kitchen amenities to be able to cook and cheapen up our stay by not eating out. We stayed in three other VRBO properties during our stay on the island and this was by far the best experience of all. Will be staying here again if we ever come back to St Thomas.

My wife’s milestone birthday

We enjoyed our stay, but there are pros and cons to the property and location. Pros - great view of the water, fine dining, fast food and bars within walking distance. Swimming pool within walking distance as is the marina. Cons - limited number of dishes if you plan to cook, we had three towels and 2 wash cloths. We called and they brought 4 more of each. There is no restroom at the pool. The tennis courts are in disarray and there is really no place close to exercise. I believe this location was severely impacted by a hurricane in 2015? Some of the dishes had an oily feel to them and the air conditioning unit was leaking water inside the condo the day of our departure. The term Sapphire Beach marina and resort is bit is a stretch. The couch is old and wicker. Sorry, a few more cons than pros.

Awesome view

This condo is in an awesome location with an amazing view walking distance to some great restaurants. The AC worked great and the bathroom was nice. The only reason why I dinged this VRBO with 4 stars as opposed to 5, is because the comfort level needs some TLC. The sofa and dining are in need of a serious upgrade- very uncomfortable. The single cup coffee maker needs some help because we got a max of 2 cups per day before it stopped working and the TV in the bedroom does work very well. It also needs some glassware and some cooking utensils. Other than that it was a great condo for the money.

Spectacular View

The view was incredible. This unit looks right onto the beach and you can enjoy the sound of the waves. Unit was nicely updated and very comfortable. Easy walk to bars, gift shop and dining. I will definitely come back. Owner was incredibly helpful.

Beautiful, but problems

The listing and email stated that the door would be left open and keys on the table.. We got there and our phones had very poor signal and we were 1/2 hour before check in We asked at the office and they said there was nothing they could do. So we sat and waited. After an hour some lady came by, said her husband worked there and got us in. Our phones still weren't working but once we got in we logged in to wifi and proved that we were supposed to be there. Then, about an hour later we got an email from the owner giving us the code to the door lock. A little late. The kitchen had a mish mash of dishes, not more than 2 of anything and no spatula. There were also some bugs that were very annoying. The unit was in a beautiful location and aside from those three things was very enjoyable.

Amazing vacation, must experience

Woke up to the most beautiful view every day! The apartment was clean, communication from Michael was clear and prompt with easy instructions. The facility has 24/7 security. The pool bar was not opened and the tennis area looks abandoned but I don’t understand why people complained about that. It is no where near the apartment nor should it reflect on it. You are Literally steps from the beach. I loved the fact that the area was private and there were not a lot of people outside on the beach or at the pool. I forgot some personal belongings when we checked out. Michael was kind enough to alert me of what was left and gave me the number for his assistant Adele who did not hesitate to ship me my belongs via USPS. I appreciate the great service and honesty from you both. The location of the apartment was perfect, a 2 minute drive to red hook and centralized to everything. Will highly recommend to anyone and will definitely stay here again!!!
