(Point Pleasant is only 8 miles from STT (Cyril King) airport, but we always recommend renting a car as St. Thomas is an island you’ll truly want to explore!)
If you are new to Airbnb, please keep in mind that you are renting a private condo and won't have the same services and staff available to you as you would in a hotel (such as concierge service, daily housekeeping, linen changes, or turn-down service). Our vacation home is your home for the week or for however long you have booked!
Occasionally, the island electric company, WAPA, will have an issue with their service and you may experience an unexpected power outage; sometimes this is island-wide, and sometimes it only affects certain area,s but it has nothing to do with the resort or our villa, so unfortunately, there isn’t anything we can do about it. Should this happen, you’ll also temporarily lose running water (which also means no toilet flushing), but there should be bottles of water under the bathroom sink to pour in the tank if needed. Should you experience a power outage, the restaurants and lobby on Point Pleasant have independent generators, so they will be open. Most locals are used to this, but I truly understand this is not the norm for everyone else – hopefully you can roll with it and appreciate the beautiful views along with the quirks of island life!
