「Room, bathroom and bedding were very clean. Room had lovely sea views as it was on the 4th floor. There are no lifts so the hotel might not be suitable for the elderly or disabled. 「Location is verry central to all the lovely things that Rye has to offer - the view from our room (at the top of the hotel) was spectacular. Although the room was top floor, and the temperature was hot, the fan supplied did a good job of keeping the room cool. We met two different members of staff who went above and beyond to help us and this made the stay. There are some rooms that have been renovated and other areas, (the hallway and stairs) that are yet to be done and appear to look tired...

「Battle is a very small town; having the helpful hotel staff in the neighborhood is certainly a plus. This building has existed as of the 16th century, and it's been properly maintained and apparently renovated in the toilet/bathroom.」
