「Room was great. Clean, with a comfy king bed, big screen smart TV, and a big bathroom with a nice shower. The breakfast was fantastic. Only negative was that the whole building was very very warm without it being hot outside (15c outside in June). It had an air conditioner unit in the room that blew cold, but it was very loud. Needed it running constantly otherwise the room heated up very fast from the rest of the building. Bring ear plugs and you'll be fine.」

「The entire experience from arrival to departure was highly underwhelming. Upon arrival we find 2 buildings and other guests wandering around confused as to which of the two buildings they were booked into. There were no addresses on the bldg, only a name. Our friends ended up on the 3rd floor of the building with a broken elevator. There was not a staff member on site to assist. The building is quite tired looking and poorly maintained as evidenced by a pile of garbage at the front entrance...

「Great cozy lodge! The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was provided. The entire felt historic, rooms were cozy, and the views you get from the rooms and the breakfast dining room was amazing. Parking was slightly uneasy as there wasn’t markings outside of the lodge, during peak or busy summer times, if all the rooms are occupied, be prepared that the parking space outside he property will all be occupied too. Driving into the lodge was a long 80km/h road...

「Staff went out of their way to make our short overnight stay enjoyable. Beautiful patio/deck to enjoy, coffee in room, snacks offered upon arrival & a coffee card with $15 value for local bakery!」

「The room was comfortable and well located in the middle of the town, Golden. I didn’t realize the River View was on a public footpath/walkway, right off the main through road. It was difficult communicating with staff - there is no onsite staff and they didn’t answer the phones, but did respond to text messages after a delay. Parking was however easy and right around the corner from a tasty bakery.」

「close to highway but still quiet in Building 2. Room was a bit in need of repair. No closet and the open clothes rack was falling off the wall. One of the two queen beds badly needs to have the mattress replaced Breakfast room is very small. Go early to get a table.」

「The room we booked was not as advertised. The listing was for a king bed + sofa bed, however upon arrival we were informed there was no sofa bed and the room only had 1 king bed. Floor in the room was sticky.」

「Staff are superb but air conditioner needs upgrade as it is loud.」

「The hotel room is large and clean, with a microwave and small pantry and cutlery. However the bathtub is a bit small comparatively. The hair dryer needs to be requested from the office but the opening hour is until 10pm so it will be a bit troublesome if you arrive later than that. Also you may be hearing noises from nearby rooms so consider if you are sensitive to noises during your sleep.」
