“Kamers waren redelijk schoon, de badkamer en toilet mogen schoner of vervangen. Lekkage kraan. Bij binnenkomst hing er een zure lucht in de kamer, maar die vervloog snel. Personeel achter de balie zeer vriendelijk. Accomodatie is simpel en prima voor een nacht op doorreis.”

“Interesting and beautiful hotel set in lovely parkland and gardens. Good food in the brasserie and useful to know that one of the three restaurants is open each day. Plenty of parking and an hour from Calais so an excellent stopover.”

“We were made to feel very welcome by the family. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and everything we needed. The en-suite was a room in itself, very well equipped; the shower was easy to use and accessible. Much appreciated too was the non-slip mat. Plenty of parking and for those with EVs, there is cheap 50kW charging 3km away at Planet Aire. We hope to return. We enjoyed the 3-course home-cooked dinner and the continental breakfast with eggs, cold meat, yogurt and more,……

“The property itself, the grounds, bar and restaurant are stunning but unfortunately let down hugely by the rooms in the Chateau. Admittedly I did opt for one of the rooms on the lower priced end of the scale but didn’t expect the room to be unclean, just not as well appointed and modern. However the walls were stained, carpet was bare, edges of the room were thick with dust and dirt, the shower tray floor tiles were stained and black around the drain and I couldn’t bring myself to sit on the……

“Talbot House is an experience. The common areas (living room, dining room) invite exploration, The English garden is quite beautiful. The continental breakfast was good. The bedrooms are attractive and comfortable, each equipped with a sink. There is one bathroom per floor and it is shared by all staying on that floor.”
