"If you are a FLW enthusiast, this is a wonderful little stay. The price was reasonable and we had so much fun wandering around the hotel looking at the little historic pieces of Frank's work. Although it has been restored, it appears that more work could be done to get it to pristine condition. The carpets are worn, which make it feel less than perfect. But exploring the little nooks and crannies and secret balconies was exciting. There is a little gift shop with a volunteer Wright enthusiast who was very engaging and ready to share details of the hotel. Overall it was a very pleasant surprise in Iowa!"

"Staff were great. I was in the lobby waiting to get my room key fixed and a patron was out of control acting ridiculous and making insane accusations to the girl behind the desk. She maintained calm and never got upset. I told her to call the cops as he was frightening to me. She stated she was ok. Good for her she should get a raise! Otherwise great stay quiet and delicious breakfast. "

"We enjoyed the sunset on the lake, but the next morning all the chairs and tables were picked up and we couldn't enjoy the area. The girls at the desk were very accomodating and we appreciated them."

"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay celebrating our 15th anniversary in Mason City. Well designed old home with winding staircase. Breakfast was delicious and could accommodate vegetarian diet. Very comfortable bed. And the home is in great location- enjoyed visiting music man square and museum very nearby. I tried booking directly with the owner but had trouble connecting so ended up booking through this third party vendor, which ended up working fine."
