"It is pre-season at the Jersey Shore. Stone Harbor and the Reeds were peaceful and relaxing most of the time. In the evenings, there are options in the hotel and in the town for live music and social gatherings. When the season starts, shops will open, and more eateries will open. I have been in Stone Harbor for the fullness of a summer season, but I enjoyed it this time in the beauty and quiet of spring and the beautiful room and facilities of the Reeds at Shelter Haven."

"The Starlux was much fun. Retro. Clean. Near everything you’d want. The beds were comfy, and the staff members were very helpful. My only note is that the walls are thin and the first night I had some next door neighbors that got there at 2:30 and were up talking till 6. Was almost like they were in my room lol. So if you’re a light sleeper, just be aware. Overall would totally go back again."

"The Sea Gypsy is an absolute oasis from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk (and yet extremely close to it when that's what you want.) There are not enough stars to rate the charm of the place. We were in the DH Lawrence suite and it came with its own guard-cat, Romeo. ;-) The whole experience there was a vacation unto itself."

"The check-in process was sketchy. The owners own multiple hotels in the area and while I reserved a room in one hotel, I ended up in a different hotel altogether. The room was great and had everything I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a technical glitch with the TV caused by a previous resident who had brought his own firestick and failed to reset the input source before they left. Overall the room at the BelAir (where I ended up) was top notch."
