"Rustic on the outside and blends in with nature. Clean and tidy on the inside and looks to be recently renovated. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Beautiful view overlooking Luray at night. We plan to stay two nights next time. Front desk was efficient, polite and professional. "
Charming cottage at the foot hills of the Shenandoah National Park
10/10 Excellent
"It was the perfect location for our hiking vacation. We are avid hikers and this cottage was within 35 min drive of all of the hikes we had researched in advance that we wanted to do in both the Shenandoah National Park and the George Washington National Forest. We also really enjoyed the local wineries. The cottage itself was clean and had a well equipped kitchen and had nice old fashioned charm. If you like historical places you will like this cottage. If you want ultra modern, then this cottage would not be for you. I didn’t realize there was no tv, which wouldn’t have mattered at all except it was opening week of college football when we were there so we had to drive a good ways to find a restaurant/pub with tv’s to watch Ohio State. I don’t think the listing mentions there is a washer and dryer, so we packed assuming there wasn’t any, but were happy to find they did have them. With a lot of hiking it was good to be able to do a bit of laundry. The rural location was quiet and peaceful, which we also really enjoyed."
"We had a great stay at this wonderful house for our quick trip to Luray Caverns. House is very clean, spacious and full of things to do for the kids. Hot tub and fire pit are a great bonus!"
Fox Den Cabin--Secluded Mountain Getaway Near Shenandoah National Park
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely home. The location is quiet and secluded with an expansive yard. Nice front porch and fire pit area. The house is cute and quaint and well maintained. The host was very responsive. Perfect getaway from the city."
"Excellent stay, beautiful sunset views from hot tub. We had a wonderful time making s’mores in the fire pit. The house had plenty of space for six adults and two babies. Lots of toys for the lil ones and pack play was super helpful. Very close to Luray and fort valley ranch for horseback rides. The host was super responsive, thank you! "
Sunridge Retreat is a secluded cabin in Luray, VA for large family and friends
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Shenandoah National Park! The house is very big and spacious—even more than it appears in the pictures. It’s tucked away in the mountains, offering stunning views, especially in the morning. Just be aware that the house is located off a non-paved road, so it’s best to arrive before dark, as the drive can be tricky at night. The location is very close to Luray Caverns, which made day trips super convenient. The play area and hot tub were great additions, especially for families or groups looking to relax and have fun. The host was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The only minor drawback is that there’s no trash disposal nearby, so you’ll need to plan accordingly. Overall, an amazing experience—highly recommended for a peaceful mountain getaway!"
Cabin Fever in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains
10/10 Excellent
"Wow! What an amazing property and cabin. The owner was communicative and her attention to detail made our stay perfect. The cabin was pristine and completely stocked with EVERYTHING and every kitchen item/tool you could possibly need. The wi-fi was lightening fast and the A/C was ice cold. This weekend was perfect and exactly what we needed to reset and recharge. The grounds are peaceful and there’s so much land and peace. We will return again for sure!"
Modern A-Frame Cabin in the Heart of the Shenandoah Valley
10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I had great time. Overall, this home is great and well-maintained. Most kitchen supplies are in the kitchen. Owner responded very quickly. Check-in process was easy. One thing we did not like so much was the stairs to the 2nd level. In my opinion, this home is good for couples who need recharge or small group of friends for retreat but not for people with disability or family with small kids because stairs to the 2nd level are very steep and somewhat not designed safely."
