Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in lovely Meadows of Dan, VA the charming Mountain View Cabin is only 7 miles to the Chateau Morrisette winery, 11 miles to Primland Resort, and 17 miles to historic Floyd VA! Whether you are traveling the Blue Ridge, exploring local wineries, attending Floyd Fest, or you are seeking a real bluegrass experience that can be found at the Floyd General Store, the warm and welcoming Mountain View Cabin is the perfect basecamp for your exploration of the region and is perfect for a couples weekend or a fun family getaway!
Enjoy preparing meals in the fully equipped kitchen while streaming your favorite shows or music on the large flat screen in the spacious great room. This cabin sleeps 6 comfortably in 3 new queen-sized premium beds with one private bedroom and one spacious sleeping loft. On-site laundry is in located in the ample bathroom.

Beautiful place, with ALL of the things you would need. Only downside isn't their fault, but there is only one breakfast place nearby and they are jam packed for hours if there is an event going on like the Nascar races. But you can just drive towards the track and eat close to it.

Hiking & ziplining

Great location. Very clean cabin and nice amenities. No problems whatsoever. We ziplined on Tuesday and we travelled about 12 minutes to arrive at our destination. Correspondence was so easy with the landlord and he was very punctual with his response as we were making plans for our mountain vacation.

Came to chill and get away from the heat. This Cabin was the perfect place. Absolutely loved rocking on the back porch watching fireflies. A home away from home. Comfy bed. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Love the shower. Easy check in & check out. Rick was great and easy to get in contact with. Thanks for the snacks. Can’t wait to come back.

Very comfortable, convenient for our purposes. Fairly well stocked for cooking with pots, pans, etc. Main bedroom bed was very comfy. My husband has Parkinson’s, so a grab bar in the shower and by the toilet would be helpful. Owner was responsive, helpful. We would recommend.

Relaxing mountain getaway!

Reserved this place for a weekend getaway with my extended family. The cabin was just as advertised. Clean, comfortable and removed from the business of city life! We really enjoyed our time on the back porch and the fire pit on the cool evenings. It also has close access to wineries and neat towns like Floyd ... well worth a day trip up the Blue Ridge Parkway. It also has a small grocery store which saved a lot of time -- the closest major store is a good half hour away, so stop beforehand if this is important to you. It was challenging to find the property, as the address wasn't properly listed. However, this was quickly corrected by the owner, Rick. He was very responsive and gave us some great tips on how to spend some of our time there. Would certainly recommend this place if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing break from busy life.

Great Weekend Getaway

Cabin 16 is everything I dreamed of for a mountain weekend getaway. It is cozy and has a nice porch to sit and enjoy the woodland scenery. Rick, our host is super. Great communication and very accommodating. . The extra amenities were a nice touch. The cabin is super clean with plenty of space to accommodate family. I especially like the loft. Beds are very comfortable. Easy check in/checkout. Can’t wait to return and hopefully stay longer than a few days. Also, several good home cooking restaurants nearby for breakfast and dinner.

Cozy Cabin

This cabin was very cozy and comfortable for 5 adults. There is plenty of beds and seating. The master bed was super comfortable! One main issue was a fly problem. It was Thanksgiving weekend and we dealt with so many flies. We had to vacuum them up as soon as we got there and we noticed that they were coming in around the windows/ac unit in the loft. If it weren't for the flies i would give this cabin 5 stars. Also, the dining area was so dim it made it a little difficult when we were playing games.
