The location of this VRBO is great IF you can tolerate 3 hours of sleep on Fri & Sat evenings and 6 hours on the other nights (which were tolerable until the weekend rolled around). It could have been a little cleaner - the couch is stained and felt icky, but fridge was nice and clean. My few biggest complaints lie in 1)poor communication from owner/manager. They gave me the code to the front door, but I was left to figure out the next step after entering code and how to lock it when I left (just push the Yale button). 2) the advertising does warn that you are over a bar and the town is “lively”but they say quiet time begins at 11pm. GROSS misrepresentation. While the city passed new ordinances for quiet time (80 decibels after 10pm) the bar is open until 2am. It’s not just a bar, it’s a nightclub- with a dj who screams into the microphone inciting the guests to join him -the bass is so thumping the windows BUZZED in the frames. The police did nothing to mitigate the noise or enforce quiet hours- there were motorcycles popping wheelies, etc &the entire strip was filled with approx 75 people. (The street work with bulldozers beginning at 7am and the trains weren’t the problem) 3)I reached out to manager and owner - telling them I left early and was unhappy- they obviously didn’t read my message because the follow up message was how to check out. I was already long gone. I reached out at midnight and did not hear back until 10am - THEY slept well, obviously.
