"Leslie was very welcoming, the cabin was very well furnished in a spare, beautiful way. The view of the mountains from the bed was a real treat, as was the deep Japanese hot tub."

"Had a great stay. The original booking had a loft and wasn't handicap accessible, so we switched to another cabin on the property. The new cabin had a couple steps up, and a small front porch. A rail would have been nice, but we made it work. It was charming, cozy, warm, clean, quiet, and private with a nice bathroom and hot shower. The kitchen was great, I cooked breakfast and a roast chicken and baked some apple turnovers. We had a nice campfire under the stars. We had a nice view and enjoyed the peaceful space. We had plenty of privacy, We had plenty of space for 3 adults, our large dog and his crate. The beds were comfortable, there were 3 beds and plenty of extra bedding. They provided nice towels, a hair dryer, a coffee maker and tea kettle. There were some games and books, cooking and cleaning products, the wifi worked well. The space was well thought out. I only wish there were 4 chairs instead of two. Even a couple of folding chairs or stools would have been nice. We used the hot tub spa. It's small for more than 2 people but it felt good. The stars were amazing. Highly recommend."

"This is kind of like staying in a cabin. It is rustic. Very cleanfor an old building. If you look at the pictures it is what it is along with the price. The biggest draw back for us is it reeks from smoke. Whether it's from long time smokers living there or people who live downstairs, I don't know. They don't allow smoking now but it really needs an ozone machine. I hate writing a bad review but you need to look closely at the pictures. It was a convenience for us to stay in that location which is right downtown. "

"Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect and we were able to relax and unwind. Our kids even said it was the best vacation. A few things to note - what is posted online in the listing is not accurate. There is no dishwasher, if I had known that I would have brought paper plates! The checkout time online is 11 am but crossed out in the book at the house and is actually 10 am. The BEACH IS CLOSED on Tuesdays and Wednesdays - that information should be included in the listing of the house. Bring a small fan - the loft space gets very hot and only one window has a screen and there is no fan up there. The owner was very kind and responsive to our texts. However, there were two major issues while we were there and he did not provided any viable solutions. The refrigerator and freezer stopped working, we had to throw food away and move what we could save to coolers which meant buying multiple bags of ice. Dana was apologetic and I understand completely that he could not find a repair man during the season - but he did not offer a solution. He could have offed to buy us ice, use of another cooler etc. The septic tank backed up as well - there was raw sewage coming from under the toilet in the bathroom and there was a large puddle of it in the backyard. Dana again was apologetic but it negatively impacted our vacation and he did not offer any money back for the inconvenience of both issues. We are unsure if we will be back. "
