“Warm welcome and great old fashioned room. Just as expected. Evening meal was first class as was breakfast A very enjoyable stay again.”

“Liked how the staff upgraded us and were responsive to our feedback. Liked the bed and linen, and how, mostly, the apartment was clean. Liked how Oulton Broad North railway station was walkable, and how room 11 has a parking space - if hard to find and quite tight. The place was good value. Not so good: There was a stained grey rug in the living area that needs replacing. We didn’t have a tea towel or oven gloves until we asked. There was no bath mat - and not enough hooks to hang towels on.”

“The property could do with a bit of updating in the rooms especially the bathroom and some painting. They offed a reasonable menu and the food was excellent. We found all the staff to be friendly one impartial was Liv she check to see if the room was ready as we were early and wanted to go out.We were meeting friends for lunch she came over to remind us of kitchen closing time and tell us about fish Friday deal,the service she gave throughout our stay was excellent she was so helpful”

“The hotel is part of a historic inn which was very atmospheric. We stayed in a family room for 3 people and the room was warm and cosy and welcoming as we arrived just before 9pm and it was a bit chilly in the countryside. Breakfast was excellent and in a nice dining room in a genuine rural setting. Service was friendly & excellent.”

“Positive: Clean room and comfortable bed Very good breakfasts Negative: No hot water for the whole 5 days I was there, though promised each day. Shower attachment broken so a (cold) shower was only possible by holding the shower head. The stand of one of the fans was broken The wifi in the room did not work Evening meals were not available as stated on the website - MUCH more limited menu than on their website and not available on all the evenings stated. “You get what you pay for here . Very helpful staff . A clean room could do with an update , older style mattress but still comfortable , A quiet pub in a tucked away location and it has all you need quiet room ,T.V , a good shower , Tea and coffee , an ok bed . Bit like staying at an older relative, I will go back and use it again.”
