“Our extended family of five adults stayed for one week at Quay View. The location was wonderful as we expected from having lived in Orford in 1982-1984. We loved walking around the town and along the trails, eating at the Jolly Sailor, and taking day trips to explore other areas of Suffolk. Overall the home was lovely, but several issues factor in to a less than stellar review. We felt "nickeled and dimed" with added fees for things that other properties might regularly include. “Accommodation was lovely except 3rd bedroom was more a cupboard with a curtain, no door, and a camp bed with metal cross bars that you could feel. Situation was perfect, close to river and town centre. Garden was not secure for my dogs as there was access via gates both sides to neighbours and both gates were left open one night. Parking was on the very narrow road, all full when I arrived and double yellow lines everywhere meant I was ready to go home as I couldn’t park away from the property……

“Lovely cottage, was a perfect place to stay to focus on writing my uni assignment. The cottage had everything I would need and more! I only live 15 mins up the road so will definitely be a place I return to when I need to escape for a few days for some rest and relaxation.”

“We came to Suffolk to do some family tree research and Orford was a great place to stay. Although there wasn't dedicated parking, there was always plenty of space in the market square. The village itself is a lovely place to stay, with plenty of places to walk and explore. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and well equipped. ”

“If you value peace and quiet that are almost tangible, plus a dark night sky to view more stars than in the city, make time to stay in one of the West Stow cottages. The gravel paths are difficult for large suitcases, so bring sports bags and backpacks, and enjoy well-equipped and comfortable accommodation. The visitors’ book reveals unanimous satisfaction and delight in the immediate surroundings as well as the many interesting places to visit. A unique treasure run by the owners who offer……

“The house was lovely exactly as described. Clean & Tidy. Kitchen was full with every kind of utensil you could imagine. Very comfortable beds. We had 2 small dogs with us and garden was great for them, also lovely surrounding area for walk. ”

“Beautiful place, very clean, comfy beds, the place is fully equipped with everything any group might need. Pet friendly. Our labrador enjoyed big green area to run around. Child friendly, with loads of toys to keep little angels occupied. Very welcoming and accomodating host, we will certainly be back.”
