"me and my wife were passing through Williamsburg and found this hotel thought it would be a decent hotel considering it was $230 a night. When we checked in there were wet towels in the bathroom the floor was wet , the toilet paper holder was torn off the wall. There was mould in the bathroom, and also the baseboards were peeling off the wall enough that someone could trip over it. Definitely will not be staying at a country in in the future. I will plan ahead better and stick with what I’m used to clean nice hotels we would’ve went somewhere else, but it was just too late in the evening and nothing was available in the area."

"The Powhatan, Hilton Hotels resort in Williamsburg, Va has been a go to place to stay for years when visting the area with family & friends for a seasonal getaway &/or golf trips with the guys. Either way the flexibility of clean, updated & well maintained accommodations with access to numerous on site activites & events makes for a great getaway!"

"Room and products in the room (e.g., sheets, comforters, shower curtains, etc.) were not clean and had visible marks/stains. I did NOT inform the staff as I did not expect anything to change."

"The property was fine, but the front desk staff never told us that parking was an additional $20/day + tax. He simply handed us the parking pass. (This was AFTER our room was not ready at the promised check in time of 4pm. We had to wait almost 2 hours to get into our room.) Nor was the parking fee outlined on our reservation confirmation email from Wxpedia nor the email from Marriott. When I spoke to the manager about it, her reply was, “It’s on our website and all the booking sites. I know because I manage them. It’s also written on the parking pass.” That all may be true but it’s not obvious, and requires the guest to seek it out. We would have selected an alternative parking option with no fee vs. paying the fee. This is unacceptable. As a longtime guest at many of their properties, I expect better from Marriott."
