Important to Note: 4-WHEEL DRIVE or AWD with higher clearance is REQUIRED year-round to get to this high-altitude beauty; WE RECOMMEND FIRST ARRIVAL DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS. The road up to the house includes steep gravel for the last .06 miles. Greybeard homes are located close to Pisgah National Forest. Ladybugs and Kudzu Beetles may be seen in our area in the fall and winter months, and it is not uncommon for them to find their way into homes to escape the cooler weather from time to time. They are not poisonous and cannot be exterminated.
