Great location and nice and quiet. Very clean. Bathrooms are a little small but managable. Free continental breakfast was a surprise as well. One of the best shared bathroom places ive stayed. I would definitely stay again.

Excellent value for money

I really liked staying in thos hotel. The service is very attentive, you can get adapters or a hairdryer if you need. The kitchen ia comfy and you can actually cook there having all the necessary equipment. The location is superb close to buses and cafes but not in the middle of the noise. You also have shampoo, body wash and hair conditioner in bathrooms.

Nice property. Great location, very affordable. However, the upstairs shared women's bathrooms are over crowded with cubicles and very little air, resulting in cleaning difficulties and odour issues that are addressed but make the room unpleasant.

It was quite an experience lodging here, I love the antique feel with its rich history. Great location, great staff and customer service including after hours care. I love how it's so self-managed and not required admin staff to be there. I love the option of car park and key lock with emergency key lock (I was locked out and left the swipe key in my room), what a saver!

The lodge is great, the room itself was beautiful and the kitchen facility was well stocked, I was worried about a shared bathroom but never even had any issues with access to at all, the only suggestion I have is to have a mop in the bathroom for the tenants as the floor floods when you shower

Smell of urine by the bed. Alerted staff who cleaned the area and it smelt less bad. I managed leave my electronic pass in my room and I couldn’t find any internal instructions of how to remedy. There is no night reception. Eventually I went out of the front door and found a sign by the key arrival dispenser saying that there was a blue bell on the opposite door post, behind me, for emergencies and I was able to get my problem resolved quickly.

Parking available at Ridge Street Parking. Free on weekends, expensive in week. Walking Distance. Steep stairs. Single room small but adequate. Shared bathroom kept clean but very small and showers flood toilet floors. Attractive well kept building. Friendly interaction with other guests in kitchen and dining area. Good selection for included breakfast.

The property itself was great. The shared dining and lounge was spacious and the bedrooms functional. The kitchen was adequate but if more than a few people are in there it's gets crowded. The bathroom facilities could be improved just by adding some shelves or more hooks so that it's easier to keep your toiletry bag and clothes dry whilst showering and changing afterwards, but it's minor. Overall, its pleasant and good value for money.

The lock systems were very strange, very easy to get locked out your room. The showers were very small, and had no where to hang your clothes. Also no where to put your key when in the shower, a lot of staff didn't speak English, stay was quiet stressful.

My family (2 adults, 1 child) booked the studio at Dalziel Lodge for a few days. I thought the studio was in the house but it turned out to be a converted garage, which meant that it was very quiet. The floor slants slightly, but other than that the accomodations were clean and comfortable, with our own key card that let us in to the main house and our studio. The location is within walking distance to some GREAT cafes and restaurants in Crows Nest neighborhood, where you have your choice of Lebanese, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Aussie and more. Met some great people staying in the house as well. Fun welcoming atmosphere. I would book again.
