Location, friendly/helpful staff, spacious accommodation. Light bulbs required in some lamps, poor lighting. The pot lights not the same and should dimmable. Otherwise great stay and would highly recommend.

Property needs to be cleaned more. Very thick dust to top of walls and all power points. Tv was old and did not work on some channels if the blinds or window was open. No ability to watch anything but general chanels. Good size but needs a little modernising.

It was very nice to have a full apartment with kitchen facilities and laundry. The units need a little TLC but everything is clean, works well and is as advertised. The hotel is conveniently located so that it is a quick walk to The Rocks, Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. The pool area and hot tub is very nice and well kept with convenient access. We would stay here again.

Great location, pool area lovely! Carpet needs stretching out as is quite dangerous due to the bumps. Otherwise great place to stay to explore Sydney!

We had an excellent stay at the York by Swiss Belhotel. The hotel was in walking distance to the trams, trains and ferries. Easy train ride from the airport. It was also within walking distance to most major sights. Reception was efficient and friendly. The room was spacious and well maintained.

The rooms were very comfortable, although the second br for 2 people was small. Loved the balcony and the pool area was extra special to have in a city hotel. We walked to most attractions or it was a quick uber ride. Opt for the coffee shop across the street on the left (if facing) Starbucks; local coffee is good. Parking was available at the hotel but we did not use it.

My room was not ready by 2pm, several people were not able to check in either at 2pm Despite being at the hotel early I was not given any access to the hotel pool or amenities waiting for my room to be ready It was a hot day and there is no water available in the lobby area for guests There did not appear to be any air conditioning in the lobby area, it was hot and stuffy The room needed some repairs and update, the balcony door did not close and seal properly, the bathroom has broken tiles

HI Rodney,Yes rooms are ready for check in from 2pm each day, some time a bit longer when guest check out late of if the rooms need extra cleaning but we do our best to get the apartments on time. The common areas have aircon for sure.

I was not sure what to expect from the property but overall it was ok. Not sure I would use it again for a business trip (funnily enough too much room) but I would definitely use it for a family holiday. Positives: Central and easy to get to by either transport or car. I was upgraded to a 3br and it was absolutely huge. Staff were friendly. Welcome email after checking in. Clean. Good internet. Neutral Items: The apartment was partially upgraded. So bathrooms were new, kitchen ok, common room furniture old, beds good. So a bit of a mixed bag. Unless you like Japanese food there are limited food options within a 2 block radius. If you like Japanese food, you have around 6 options. Personally I do like Japanese food but with the rough weather, I was not a fan of having to have it twice. Negatives: The middle elevator is scary. Slow, the doors shake and it does not tell you what floor you are on. I later learned the other two were ok.

We liked the size of the apartment but basic hotel standard facilities like having shower wash, shower cap, biscuits to have with cup of coffee were missing. We couldn’t get into our room just 25 min before check in time because “the room wasn’t ready” and at 2pm had to wait behind a line of people checking in. We presumed then there is a staff shortage.

I travel a lot and this was the noisiest hotel I've ever been. Stayed 8 nights, loud noise night and day from heavy traffic coming down Harbour Bridge. The first room assigned on 14th floor had a smell. We asked to change and were given one on 12th floor much older and and much noisier. We asked for an upgrade, were told to pack suitcases and go to reception but then the attendant couldn't do the switch as the room had been given to someone else. The female at reception gave us a complimentary bottle of wine voucher to sooth us. We went back upstairs and got stuck in that nightmare for another 6 nights. We complained to the manager, he told me to write an email but I'm still waiting for the reply. After that he never acknowledged us and never said good morning or good night. Actually, almost none of the staff bothered to say hello. When we left I gave the wine voucher at reception, told the woman that we had a beer, a lemonade and a small packet of munchies. She said it's all good. Today I've noticed that I've been charged $25 for the complimentary wine! I'm expecting to be refunded. Perhaps the main problem is that altough is called Swiss, I haven't seen a single swiss working there. I don't recall any names because no one introduced themselves. Everyone behind the counter was busy writing or reading, or hiding in a space alongside the counter. I would recommend this hotel only to my worst enemies. Disappointed is an understatement. Martino

Dear Martino,I am sorry about the noise, the building is reviewing the balcony door and windows as the building is 40 years old and is due for a major work. City noise can be disruptive for many people . The staff have failed to look after you and able to provide better support, the property was very busy over your stay and again we would have loved to have upgraded you but were not able to due to occupancy. We hope you don't have any enemies as you seem to be a honest person even though a little tired from not sleeping well

The place is not bad, but they charge you even you didn't take anything from the minibar. For me is that unacceptable. It is not fair to the guests pay money for not using anything. I would never visit this place again.
