Clean, new, & modern. Very hip property but there are a couple drawbacks. The beds are on the softer side, the thermostat is just on or off and can’t be adjusted, there are only 2 elevators and can be very slow if one is not working, the pool is seasonal, the gym is practically nonexistent, and the breakfast is nothing special. Still was worth the stay for how clean and new it is but not our favorite in Taipei.

It’s not in a tourist area, but very convenient access to the orange and red MRT lines. There is an also a small night market right next to the hotel that provides the night market food and experience without the crowd. Property is well maintained and clean.

Much nicer rooms and much more friendly staff than the Alofts that you typically find in the USA. This particular location has a small but functional gym near the top floor (very clean, a few cardio machines, a sit up bench, just no weights) with nice views over the city. The rooms are spacious (for the location) and clean with a great modern set up. The hotel is also SUPER conveniently located very very close to Shuang Cheng Jie Night Market. It is about 4-5min away by walking. At night, it's a small night market that opens fairly late (some stalls will stay open beyond midnight whereas many other night markets start wrapping up around midnight), and by day, there are many other day time stalls and restaurant options open. It is also located near many banks, and the hotel is located on a MRT line, which makes transportation super convenient. The hotel is about 10min away from the closest MRT station. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful Stay!!
Highly recommended for anyone be it work, family or couple. Each and every staff that I have encountered at Aloft has got an excellent attitude. I feedback to front desk regarding the shampoo pump in my room not working well, and they immediately attended to me next and even drop a letter at my door to inform that they had attended to the issue. I will definitely return back here again!

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. It is 5 minutes to the red and orange Metro lines and bus lines. There are three 24-hour coin operated self-service laundromats. The Shuang Cheng night market is two short blocks behind the hotel where one can find a variety of meals, snacks and breakfast, not to mention boba teas. The hotel also has free drinks and snacks during the day. Overall, highly recommended.

Easy check-in and friendly staff. I was traveling with two young children and the whole process was easy. The rooms are clean and spacious (given the urban density). The kids love the roof top infinity pool. Special thanks to K Huong (who staffs the upstairs restaurant), who was kind and courteous. He allowed us to use the dining area for the purpose of doing our schoolwork. Not all the staff was this thoughtful. Also Jack the M-F lifeguard was very friendly. Thank you for a great stay!

The cleanliness of the room was immaculate. The staff was friendly and helpful. We chose this location because it was close to the MRT and to our friend’s apt. Perfect!! We’ll definitely choose Aloft again.

Very happy with our stay
We’re a family of four, with both kids under 5. Aloft Taipei Zhongshan was a great place to stay. It was very quiet inside the room. We didn’t get any noise from the street or other rooms. We plan to stay here again, as the location is excellent. It’s close to the red and orange MRT lines with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. My only complaint is that the lighting in the bathroom is terrible for doing makeup. It is dim overall, with several points of bright light behind you as you stand at the mirror so you get shadows all over your face.

No windows in the basic room. While booking this is not made clear. Reception claim that there is a window but due to the proximity of the building next door, they sealed the window and then greyed it out. Which means no window. Should be advertised as such when booking. Highly disappointing
