Do not stay here. More like a 1970s dormitory, the photos shown on the website are utterly misleading. I don’t even know where to start.
Firstly, despite providing excessively detailed information online before checking in (to help ‘save time’ on arrival), we arrived late at night after navigating very narrow roads to get there and were met with an electronic check in system that not only required passport numbers and SCANS but took photos of all of us including four children. This took almost 20 minutes before we were able to get the code to unlock the front door.
Entering the property, I immediately saw a cockroach scurry across the floor. The carpets were ripped and torn in sections. The toilet let off a deodorant every time you sat on it which filled the whole house with an awful smell. The kitchen had an outdoor wooden table as an island bench and two wheelie bins IN THE KITCHEN for bins. The washing machine was OUTSIDE and did not include washing powder so we couldn’t wash any of our clothes while there. The outdoor ‘spa’ was not much more than a kiddy pool, was empty with a note that it costs 8800 yen to fill it up with cold water. There was a charge to use the bbq and wood heater. I would expect at this price that these things be INCLUDED. A total rip off.
Additionally, the town has a loud speaker that plays music so loud as to wake you up at 6:00am!
I have stayed in many places across the world and this was close to the most disappointing. Very un-Japanese.
