Perfect stay at Tokyu Stay! Just next to the bus/train station, walking distance from the main attractions. Magnificent hotel and rooms, excellent accommodations and service, very nice onsen. We would have stayed longer. I highly recommend this hotel.

Tokyu Stay Takayama is a top notch hotel, it is a step away from train station close to convenience stores and restaurants. Hotel staff are amazing is the hotel itself. I couldn't recommend high enough, do yourself a favour pug this place on top of your list if visiting the beautiful town of Takayama.

This hotel was a 2 minute walk from the train station so it was very convenient. Even though it’s next to the train station, no noise can be heard from the trains. The staff was efficient, courteous and professional. The washer/dryer in the room was great but you should ask the staff on directions on how to use it. The instructions on the card was not clear. They have an onsen and foot bath area and they were great especially when coming back from a full day of walking. We arrived 2 hours early so wish they would have let us check in early and use the room. But it’s a minor inconvenience. Definitely would recommend!

Very new, clean, good size room, incl. the washroom. In room free laundry machine. Modern and above grade amenities (Toto toilet); for a relatively higher price in the area. Also has public and private onsens.

It is a perfect hotel in a lot of sense. The room was spacious, equipped with a washer/dryer for cleaning your clothes. The design was artistic with each floor specializing a traditional craft. The onsen experience was superb. The huge chilling area outside the onsen was amaIng too. A little bit of imperfection is that the private bath rooms were fully booked when I checked in at around 3:45. So arrive early and book the experience!

Excellent property that is new and clean. Just a 5min walk from Takayama station and Nohi Bus centre so location is a bonus. Rooms are clean, spacious, with toiletries that can be topped up from the lobby. Staff were polite and helpful. There is a footbath and public/private onsens for guests. Private onsen warrants an extra charge but the public onsen is just as good. Would come back to this hotel if in Takayama.

Lovely newish hotel in takayama. Right next to the train station. Modern. Have communal onsen and private onsens (there are 3 rooms) that are available for a fee of jpy1,650 for 45 mins blocks.

Highly recommend Tokyu Stay Takayama
The location of the hotel is amazing as it is just next to the train station and bus terminal. It is also a 10min walk to the rest of the places of interest. The hotel is nicely decorated with foot bath and private onsen as well. Room is big for a Japan standard and best of all it comes with a washer/dryer and I got to do my laundry daily.

The rooms were comfortable and so well-designed, having a washer-dryer in the room was also super useful. The staff were friendly & helpful, and it's so near to the train and bus stations, making it extremely convenient to travel around!

Great location next to train station, also centrally located for ease of access to great restaurants, tourist sites, etc. Very nice onsen, including outside section. Large, comfortable rooms, including washer/dryer in room an unexpected and very welcome perk after 2 weeks in Japan! All in all great value for the cost. Arigatou!

Wonderful hotel with updated decor and great amenities, including a top-notch onsen. Room was a good size and very comfortable. Good breakfast with both Japanese and western options. Just minutes from the train station and 15 minutes walk to the old town center.

I like how the hotel was located next to the train station and bus terminal. Very convenient for travellers. Likewise, the room was spacious enough for a couple. Food was great. But bet of all, staff was very friendly and helpful. Our hotel in Takayama. Hands down favorite.

Wonderful Stay in Takayama
Had an amazing stay at Tokyu Stay- our family stayed in two different Premier Residential Rooms on Level 9, and a Comfort Room on level 8, across 5 days in all. The Premier Stay rooms were unique and beautifully designed and furnished- with amazing views, balconies and gorgeous bathrooms- we loved them. The comfort room was great, but definitely not of same character/comfort- with shower over bath, smaller and no balcony. Still good though. We thought the breakfast buffet was really great and enjoyed the private onsen. The location was fantastic, next to the train and bus terminal, and you couldn’t hear any noise with balcony doors closed. The views from our room were wonderful, and we were lucky to have been there during winter when a significant amount of snow fell. The staff were all lovely and helpful. We loved our stay at Takayama, and the Tokyu Stay was a large reason for that.

The hotel is just a few minute walk from Takayama train station and nearby Family Mart. It is not in the “old town” section but very walking distance. The facility is clean, room has washer/dryer which is quite convenient. The onsen facility is really nice and clean. The hotel feels “new” :-)
