This house is immaculate and very spacious for sleeping. We were comfortably able to seat 10 at the table for dinner, and we found the kitchen to be quite functional for meal preparation. There were so many tv's with so many channels that there was no fighting over who gets to choose what to watch (we had a wide ranging group).
Although it is a townhouse amid a large complex of identical townhouses, the house is private and quiet. You're not hearing domestic sounds from neighbors or cars driving up.
Some things I would have liked to know before I booked: 1. the a/c is not central. It is one big unit that very comfortably cools the main floor. The loft is somewhat cooled by this unit with the assistance of ceiling fans. The lower bedrooms only have ceiling fans. My husband and I thought all the rooms were comfortable at night, but some of my children said they felt warm and stuffy. I didn't think to open the windows. That would probably have helped.
2. The basketball and tennis are a good 3 minute drive from the house - not quite step outside and go play tennis or swim. They were only open from 11am-5pm and you could swim until 6:30. Those were the prime hours that we were out and about. When we came back around dinner time, there was absolutely nothing to do other than watch tv. There is no outdoor play space and there's not much to see from the porch.
3. We didn't see the foosball and the air hockey was broken. Those were the reasons I booked this house (after the many hours of sifting through relevant properties), because it would have meant indoor activities besides tv. Tricia tried her best to help out with the air hockey but in the end, the kids mostly just sat and watched tv in the early mornings and evenings.
In conclusion: This is a great house to use as a launch pad for a very packed and busy vacation. If you want to rent a home in the mountains and just chill in it with your family, going out for occasional hikes, you should probably look for something with a little more to do in and around the house.
