Yes, we clean the maintain the hot tub every other day and every day if it is being used heavily. That keeps it sparkling clean. That is communicated in the booking confirmation and house/hot tub information messages-booklet. Happy you enjoyed your stay. The Clancys

Best house in Taos area
Great hosts with a lovely home. This is our 3rd time and we absolutely love it!! We always try to stay here but this place books fast. Lovely views and extraordinary home. It’s stocked with everything you need. The hot tub is amazing. Again, there are no worlds to explain on how thoughtful the owners are in making sure we or anyone that stays here has the best experience!!

Nice place but neighborhood is not people or dog friendly.
We brought our 2 year old, well behaved Boston Terrier. The house was very nice and well appointed with one king bed. The outdoor space was great with the fireplace and hot tub and nice view. The only real negative is the neighborhood is not people or pet friendly. We were not even allowed to walk down the driveway with or without our dog. So we had to drive just to get away from the property. Overall it was very nice.

I wrote directions to walk down the driveway to the West for dog’s bathroom breaks. If one walks the other direction passing our neighbor’s house-he has loose dogs. So happy you enjoyed our home.

wonderful place
Out of all the places that my wife and I have stayed within the Enchanted Circle, this is hands down the best, From the location of the casita, the surroundings and the overall pleasantness of our host we would not trade it for a hotel in town. We plan to stay again next year.

Great property’s
This casita was the perfect stay. From the moment I booked the owner was in perfect communication. Everything I needed she answered very quickly. The casita is as good in person as the pictures posted. The wrap around porch made it where you could sit outside anytime of the day. The hummingbirds were so fun to watch. The temperature was too warm for the spa and steamy shower so I can’t speak to those. There were so many books, art supplies, and plenty of tv if you wanted to take advantage of those. The location was great where you felt like you were the only one there, but yet only about 10 minutes to Arroyo Seco and about 15 minutes to Taos. The inside is immaculate. Clean, fully stocked, and plenty of places to sit. The bed was plenty comfortable and a really good nights rest and /or nap. I visited most of the places the owners had told me to go eat and they were right. Orlando’s ended up being my most favorite. Overall and excellent place to get away. I wish I could’ve stayed longer.

The Casita lies nestled between the mountains and the Rio Grande Gorge (which is visible from the patio). It's so quiet, one can hear the hum of hummingbird wings as they relax outside. The owners have stocked the kitchen with everything you need to make your start enjoyable. Cookware, utensils, spices, even Tupperware to keep leftovers for later. The town of Taos is a short 20 minutes away and has anything you could need; good food, shopping, groceries, you make it. It was well worth 9 hours of driving to simply exist in the peace and comfort the Casita afforded.

Spectacular!
This is the perfect place to stay if visiting the Taos area. The place is close to everything and yet secluded and private so you feel you are by yourselves. The view is stunning and the amenities (the steam shower, hot tub, fireplaces - with wood provided) give you all the luxury you could want. The Casita itself is thoughtfully decorated with care and a love of the area. The hosts are great and provided much information in advance of our trip to help us plan. Communication was superb and they will help with anything. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to the area!

We have a new favorite! The views, the comfort of the casita, and the peace and quiet were amazing! Although this casita had some neighbors, the layout was very private and afforded some of the best views of the valley we've seen. The hot tub was well maintained and so relaxing. We loved our stay!

Beautiful property and beautiful views
We really enjoyed our stay at Casita Ave Maria. The place was exactly as described. Beautiful views from the deck and hot tub. Lots of windows so lots of natural light into the casita. Kitchen was stocked with all of the essentials. The shower was AMAZING as everyone else has said. Great location as it’s not directly in the town but also a short drive from TSV if that’s why you’re visiting. Can’t wait to come back and stay again.

Perfect Getaway
The Casita Ave Maria was perfect for a getaway. The views are amazing from the patio, and soaking in the hot tub on a cold night while enjoying the stars can't be beat! We also enjoyed our morning coffee by the outdoor fire. The accommodations on the inside are good, with a comfortable bed, a well stocked kitchen, and an indoor fireplace. The hosts were great as well. We would definitely return to this property!

This home is located such that you can see so many stars and the Milky Way while soaking away the days adventures in the hot tub. It has all the amenities of home with extras like a steam shower and indoor/outdoor fireplaces. This was our second time staying here and it was as great as we had remembered.

We enjoyed this house so much, it pretty much made our trip! Tammy was very nice and made sure our stay was perfect! This place is so relaxing and the views are beautiful! If we are ever in the area again we will definitely want to stay there again.

Amazing Experience
This is the perfect VRBO for your Northern New Mexico getaway. Every detail such as the provided robes to the delicious bottle of wine provided, to the feeders that brought some humming bird friends to hang out with made this the perfect stay for my partner and I. Wonderful stay!
My husband and I stayed at this adorable little casita for 2 nights but could’ve stayed forever. It was soo cute, clean, cozy, private and stocked so well that it felt like home!- literally the best stocked place I’ve stayed. We just couldn’t get over how unique it was. The ONLY con is the roof noise which was explained in the check in/out notes. We have a two story house and our kiddo that sleeps above us falls out of bed from time to time ha! So the creaking startled me every time… probably not a typical situation! We had a lovely stay. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing place and fantastic info and recommendations!

Retirement trip
We spent almost 3 weeks in the casita after a family reunion in Angel Fire. The location was perfect as a home base for the many day trip miles we spent touring northern NM. The Casita was beautifully decorated and equipped with anything we needed for stay at home meals or just hanging out enjoying the sunsets and stars. Arroyo Secco is a great alternative to staying in Taos. The local restaurants were great and the host gave terrific recommendations for dining, hiking and shopping. Wonderful Getaway
Casita Ave Maria was a beautiful place to stay. Enjoyed the sunsets from the patio and the beautiful views. The bed was super comfortable! Kitchen was awesome to cook in. We loved the open concept inside and there was plenty of room everywhere. The hosts were awesome and very responsive. They made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the quiet peacefulness of this place. It was a great getaway from all the hustle and bustle of the city life.

Amazing views at a very special casita!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this property! It is probably the best place we have ever stayed away from home. We went here for our 10th anniversary and it was a very romantic setting. The pictures (even though they are good) do not do it justice. The views were incredible, the bed was very comfortable, and the casita was stocked with everything we could have needed for our stay. The area is magical and the sunsets, sunrises, and view of the night sky from the deck and hot tub cannot be beat! We loved that they provided wood for the fireplaces and the nearby towns of Arroyo Seco and Taos were wonderful to explore. Even though it is a bit of a drive we went to Ghost Ranch while we were there as well and it is very worth the drive! Especially when paired with a relaxing night soak at Ojo Caliente on the way back. Tammi was a very communicative host who responded promptly and went the extra mile to welcome us for our anniversary :) We will never forget our magical stay here and hope to return some day. Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!

Casita was well equipped. View was beautiful. Bedding was very soft and comfortable. Suggest a small step stool. At 5 feet tall and 60 years old it was a tough climb to get into the bed.

We loved Casita Ava Maria! The layout of the place is well thought out. We have absolutely no complaints! The star gazing on the patio is unbelievable. We had great recommendations for food, live music, and entertainment. Our host was attentive and we had everything we needed.

Amazing views, great outdoor space, cutest interior!
This casita was amazing! Upon arrival, we were mesmerized by the beautiful views from the huge deck. The deck has a hot tub, fireplace, grill and tons of space to hang out. The inside was much larger than the pictures online appear! So even though it is all in one room, we did not feel crowded at all. The casita is equipped with everything you will need. The indoor kiva was so nice with supplied wood and other materials to have a nice fire. The steam shower is an added bonus! The location is outside of Taos about 15-20 minutes but just a few minutes from the little village of Arroya Seco where there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to get coffee and meals. Tammi was so helpful in providing recommendations for restaurants and other things to do and was particularly gracious is helping me ensure the casita would work for my husband who is in a wheelchair. You will love this place. We cannot wait to go back!

A little piece of heaven
It was like a little piece of heaven. The view is magnificent. If you're looking for a place to decompress then This is a place for you. Dave and Tammy we're available to answer any questions responded so quickly. The steam shower was amazing and the hot tub is exceptionally clean and well taken care of. We love this place. Quiet, peaceful and the view of the Milky Way from the hot tub is amazing. PERFECT! Check out Abe’s in Arroyo Seco; very local and delicious. Also, new owner at what used to be Francesca’s but is now Marigold in Arroyo Seco. The owner is friendly, her dog is A-dorable and the clothes aren’t bad either. Also, if you are looking for one- of-a-kind jewelry go to Claireworks in Arroyo Seco.

Perfect Little Spot!
Casa Ave Maria is amazing! Great views, great location, and great vibe. When we arrived the place was very clean. The hosts were easy to communicate with and responded to messages quickly. We didn't have any issues but they made us feel like if we did, they would take care of it. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for meals. We did a lot of grilling and the gas grill worked great (I've rented places on VRBO that had mediocre grills). They have both an indoor and outdoor fireplace with plenty of wood for both. The patio is huge and we spent a lot of time on it, it was nice and cool in the mornings and evenings. Our favorite thing to do was sit in the hot tub with the jets off so we could hear the outdoor fire crackle and look up at the stars which were unbelievable. The way the trees and bushes are positioned by the patio give you plenty of privacy in the hot tub and the patio has a secluded feel to it, but has a great view of the valley. The house is about 20 minutes from Taos and the gorge but you are away from the hustle and bustle of town. The hosts gave us lots of info of places to eat and things to do in the area. We are so glad we didn't rent a room in town, this place is a gem, and very affordable in our opinion. We would recommend staying here and hope to return.

Excellent base near Taos
We had a great time staying for 4 nights at this beautiful property. It was perfect for day excursions in the area, and very peaceful. The deck is great, the bed is super comfy, the kitchen is well stocked, the atmosphere and style perfect, and the owners are responsive and hospitable. We'd stay again without hesitation.

Pleasant getaway vacation.
Overall everything was pretty good. The view was lacking. We were disappointed that the owners did not want to meet us. Especially when they live directly across the gravel road from the rental property. Every other place that we have rented the owners always wanted to meet you in went out of their way to take care of everything that you want them to. My wife and I would not rent from this property again.

Fascinating review. I will simply say the views speak for themselves--even the pictures and the other guests' reviews on the views. And, when these folks visited--we were in Costa Rica. They must have forgotten we were not in the United States during their visit and they never mentioned wanting to meet us. They simply asked for an early check-in--which we were able to grant them free of charge. Goodness gracious.

Perfect, quiet spot
There is something really special about this place. This is our second stay. A couple of the highlights: the spot is sparkling clean, the appliances are very nice, cozy fire place with comfortable blankets, hot tub is beautiful, and the hilltop views are outstanding. Beautiful Private Retreat
The Casita Ave Maria is a beautiful and charming private retreat. Sitting between the city of Taos and the Taos Ski Valley it is the perfect location for all kinds of activities. We recently eloped to the area and found the Casita the perfect place to stay during our 'Weddingmoon'. It was private and secluded and views from the hot tub were spectacular! You will not be dissapointed when booking a stay here.

This casita was very well stocked and so cozy. It has a very welcoming energy and was spot on to the pics. The hot tub was great, the fireplaces were so amazing and not to mention the steam shower! My husband and I loved it!!! Thank you to the owners for sharing such a loving space!

Snowstorm Heaven!
We had planned several hiking adventures, but were greeted with an early season snowstorm of about 18 inches. With an outdoor fireplace, indoor fireplace, steam shower, and hot tub, we could never have picked a better home to ride out the beautiful storm. It was sparkling clean. The kitchen was amazing. Lots of books and games to pass the time while watching the snow fall. We were able to get in a hike on our last day as many trails are close by. The owners were very good to check on us to make sure we arrived safetly and to find out if we needed any supplies food beverages, etc due to the storm. We greatly appreciated their thoughtfulness!
