It's like staying in a piece of history, for not a terrible price. And the balconies have a great view of the city. But the rooms themselves were a bit shoddy.

Hotel location is unmatched. Sub-way, bus stop, and taxi stands are at the hotel. Remember this hotel is a historical place in the history of Uzbekistan. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay. The Rooms are great little dated which is expected. Front desk is great, especially Mr.Mohair and very helpful Girls Zebo, Mokhinur will respond to your questions regarding the area and any help you need to have a great stay at Tashkent. Breakfast is out of this world and there are lots of choices for great breakfast for your long day exploring. I notice that the Chef lady was always present at the breakfast making sure everything gets refilled quickly and nothing is out of place. I loved it. Housekeeping is the most disappointing part of this hotel. First day's room was great but the next day for housekeeping, like horrible no vacuum, the bed was made by a 6 year old. No matter how many times the front desk requests them to help the customer , there is no response.

Hotel uzb room 921 screw is loose on the room door latch Electric panel door need to be tightened Safe box need to have batteries and need to be bolted to the wall Toilet seat is rocking. Need to be stationary. Air conditioning not enough for this size room, always warm in the room. Breakfast is very generous and delicious. Rooms are nice and hood size but need a little maintenance.

Disappointing. The aircon is making a lot of noises, i have to ask reception 3 times to get it sorted. We were too tired to swtich room. The cool air doesnt spread across the rooms and the room was so hot. We were basically sleeping in our own sweat. The water pressure for shower is minimal. The wifi is bad in bed area. The only good things are helpful staff, old iconic style of hotel and the convenient location

The hotel rooms smell old and musky. I don’t think it has been renovated since the soviet times. The kettle didn’t work, plug sockets didn’t work, no sockets by the beds because the hotel was build prior to smart technology. There is no air conditioning despite the hotel claiming it does, each room has a huge ventilation unit inside the cabinet but barely any air comes out. The room was boiling hot so the staff were extremely kind and helpful and moved our room to a slightly cooler one. Still no hot water in the new room. It was midnight and they still sent a maintenance man up who tried to fix it to no avail so I told him to give up so I could sleep. I have to say the staff are so polite and professional and the breakfast was lovely. The only issue is the hotel is extremely tired inside and needs a full overhaul.

Beautiful building and live piano at breakfast. Excellent location. 24/7 currency exchange in the lobby. Very old appliances. Some of them are not in good conditions. We arrive at 11:20 with no early check-in option. It was ok, not convenient but it was according to the rules. We decided to wait until 2:00 pm in the lobby. We sat alone in the lobby opposite the front-desk and three receptionists saw that we wait a room. And I was in shock when at 2 pm I was told that our room is not ready yet. The room became ready at 2:35 pm and an administrator apologized for the delay. But it never happened with me before and I am sure it is not professional.

Best thing was the generous size of the room. Didn't like the wet patch on the carpet by the air-conditioner. Didn't like having to argue about getting a breakfast when I arrived early instead of having one the following day since i was checking out before breakfast. A good hotel would not quibble over such a thing.

Hotel Uzbekistan is an old hotel and need lots of remodel or renovations. The room is old room have unpleasant odor, the bathroom broken tiles floor and the bath tub are lots of mildew and the tiles broken, worst the last day there were no hot water. No WiFi in the room/no signal, I complained 2 times both said that will send the technician to fix it, but the technician never show up. Also no AC either. The only good things about this hotel are good location and breakfast buffets. anyone want to stay at this hotel please avoid room 1212. I stayed in this room for 2 night ( April 27th and 28th)

A TOTAL LEMON
Arrived and immediately asked for their advertised Free Shuttle Service to the Airport but was told there was none. I advised them that it was because of the advertised shuttle that I booked and after some "discussion" I was offered a taxi to Airport and offer accepted NB shuttle information was removed from their Hotels.com listing then.The Hotel itself is tired, my room had dirty walls, missing bathroom tiles but lots of mould in tiles. It was hot with no controls to change things, noisy when window open,breakfast was rather pathetic. The young lady who assisted me was very pleasant and kind but all that could have been avoided. NB there are old fashioned electric plugs in the room so your phone charger will not work. When asked for a charging plug which fitted the old electric inputs was told to buy one! We did however use the TV input as at least the TV is an up to date electrical point. Was given that information by another guest not the hotel staff. This hotel is an old hotel and looks it as much as the mattresses on the beds feel it. As an accommodation owner myself I know what is needed and this hotel doesn't come near to making any grade that is good, that is apart from the kind young lady who I really hope finds a Hotel to suit her talantd.

Most middle-of-the-road hotel in Tashkent
The outside of the building is rather breathtaking, especially at night when they have added so many lights and graphics. Inside is an old, Soviet-era hotel...which is fine. It's totally affordable and the breakfast was a really nice touch. I think if I were to advise a friend, I would say go ahead and spend a little more money and find something else. If they were a casual acquaintance, meh, go ahead and stay there.

I stayed 1 nights at Hotel Uzbekistan in Feb 2024. Hotel Uzbekistan is a great hotel in Tashkent. Rooms are nice and clean. Hotel Uzbekistan is next to Amir Timur Square and Amir Timur Metro Station. Great place to stay. I recommend Hotel Uzbekistan for visitors to Tashkent.

Увы с таким названием Отель
Ожидал большего от отеля,так как это в центре города и один из исторических отелей. Но очень жаль что в таком состоянии отель. В номере с потолка сыпется белая штукатурка или что не знаю. Горничная зашла убираться, только воду оставила и мусор вынесла, кровать и остальное осталось даже нетронутой, не заправила и тж. Завтраки отдельная тема. С таким именем отель и такие жуткие завтраки , персонал ходиьн кто втчнм порядок, повара выглядят как будто из рынка,ты теплой водолазке и в фартуке. Официаны на завтраке кучей стоят у входа на завтрак и грлмпг галдят. Ожидал большего.

An excellent and value for money option right in the Tashkent's city centre for travelers who would like to experience soviet utilitarian architecture at first hand. Accommodation, furniture, elevators, decoration, reception, stairs, doors etc are all coming straight from the 70s. Property although very long in the tooth is kept very clean and staff is very friendly. Food at restaurant is very good. Do not compare it with other more luxurious options in the area. It's a league of its own.
