「Ik wilde een echt Engels plattelands hotel met een pub. Daaraan heeft dit hotel volledig voldaan. Het bier van het freehouse was uitstekend en de pub maaltijden waren lekker en origineel. De kamer voldeed aan de verwachtingen : teafacility, tv. Prima badkamer. De kamer waar ik in verbleef was buiten het hoofdgebouw. De muren waren zo dik, dat ik geen last heb gehad van het erg warme weer. Ik kan het van harte aanbevelen.」

I think it essentially depends on where you get placed - annex, arch house or in the pub etc, as to what the rooms are like rather than your booking. The room we were in was tiny, thank goodness it was only for one night. The room itself also needs a freshen up/good clean, with splash/dirt marks up the walls and paint chipped. 「Lovely stay this week in the massive family room. 4 singles and one double bed in the room and it still felt very spacious. There was also a cupboard with hangers, a fan, tea/coffee making facilities and a huge fridge which came in very handy. 「The actual property is great, located down a quiet laneway. Unfortunately, we came when it was around 30 degrees C. Sleeping upstairs only exacerbated the issue. We stayed 3 nights, unfortunately again there was a party not far away with amplified band and singer (not very good) on our last night which droned on till midnight. The property is very good, although I’m 193 cm and had to constantly duck my head when going into the kitchen/meals area. Well presented, well stocked.」
