"Though a rambling hotel covering many buildings and floors and it being in one of the heat waves so the rooms on the top floor were very hot, the stay was very good due to the friendly staff and excellent food on offer both for breakfast but particularly in the evening. This is my third stay at this hotel and is the go to one for me when working in Leicester. Cannot but highly recommend it for staying at."

"We had a fabulous two-night stay at this hotel and couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive throughout our stay, with nothing ever being too much trouble. We enjoyed a few drinks in the beautifully maintained courtyard, where the service was excellent, and we also ate in the restaurant one evening. We had breakfast on both mornings, and every meal was delicious. A particular mention must go to our waiter, who went out of his way to accommodate my dietary requirements. I can’t tolerate chilli, and when I asked if the sauce accompanying my salmon could be changed, he spoke to the chef, who kindly prepared a fresh sauce from scratch without chilli. It was absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch. Our bedroom was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped, with everything we could have needed. We also had a wonderful view overlooking the square and the two beautiful churches. Overall, a fantastic stay with excellent food, wonderful service and lovely staff. We would happily return and thoroughly recommend this hotel."

"Breakfast excellent .Parking should be free for hotel guests .A hairdryer & a small kettle & 2 mugs would be a very useful asset in the rooms as it isquite a way to walk to the restaurant in your nightwear for an early morning or middle of the night hot drink !!!!Otherwise an excellent stay (because we had stayed with you previously I was prepared & brought my own from home )Thankyou to all staff"

"We booked two rooms. One was in the newer/refurbished part of the hotel and was of a noticeably higher standard though both rooms were the same price. The staff were all lovely and the breakfast was very good and served in the light and airy restaurant. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area."
