Welcome to Casa Pacifique — an ocean view villa in the town of Potrero, Guanacaste. Perfect for families and couples, with stunning sunsets, modern comforts, and walkable access to three beautiful beaches.

LOCATION
Potrero is a quiet coastal town that blends the warmth of local Tico culture with a welcoming expat community. Once a small fishing village, it retains the charm of old Costa Rica, offering a tranquil setting far from crowded tourist areas. The newly built $50M Flamingo Marina is nearby, and guests are within a short drive of other scenic beaches like Danta, Dantita, Flamingo, and Conchal. Tamarindo is about 50 minutes away, and Liberia International Airport is just over an hour by car.

THE VILLA
Casa Pacifique spans four levels and accommodates up to eight guests. On the main level, you’ll find an open-concept living room, dining area, and kitchen. The dining space features a custom Guanacaste wood table that seats eight with ocean views. Guests can enjoy breakfast and housekeeping services (please inquire), or hire a private chef.

Casa Pacifique is our family’s second home. When we are in Costa Rica, we may stay in the private apartment at the bottom of the property. Guests have full privacy, and we do not use the pool or any guest spaces during your stay.

The house and our stay was amazing! Maricela (House Mom) was so kind and kept everything tidy for us. Don’t miss the view from the rooftop deck, especially at sunset. We loved the pool area as well. Be sure to get a four-wheel-drive vehicle if you’re staying here or driving to any attractions… there are some bumpy roads on the way from the airport. Thank you for the beautiful vacation spot!

A Five Star Review seems too low for this experience. Home is spotless, gorgeous, and covered all our needs (and then some). The pool deck views are amazing, the pool provided a great place to wind down from excursions before getting ready for dinner. After dressing up for dinner, we had drinks from the rooftop lounge & yes I mean a rooftop lounge! Barstools, lounge furniture, disco ball bluetooth speaker, and insane views of the sunset. The rooms are very spacious with beautiful bathrooms for each. Marciela is the little unexpected precious gift that comes with your stay! Our lil' senorita made us ridiculous breakfast every morning, emptied our trash, cleaned the floors, and washed all our bath towels...I have only been able to afford a five star resort once in my life (Grand Cayman); this place surpassed that experience. We were there with three other couples celebrating my wife's 50th and it was perfecto! But the best compliment is for our host Marilia. She planned every detail down to the minute for three excursions, sweedish massages at the villa, and our transportation. If you're considering Costa Rica and this property, do yourself a favor and book Casa Pacifique first, then allow Marilia to guide you through the rest. We went while her daughter was getting married and she still found time to answer all my questions and organize every detail. I can't thank you enough! Pura Vida!

The house is absolutely lovely and the host is so accommodating - great communication, helpful, and responsive. We had no issues at all for our 9 nights, 6 adults. Great location near the beach w howler monkeys across the way. Good restaurants close by. The house mom is awesome, friendly and efficient, she made a tasty breakfast for us most mornings and surprised us with empanadas on the day of our arrival and on another afternoon. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom and is spacious and inviting. So many areas to hang out and enjoy the sunset and ambiance. Really one of my best VRBO stays ever and would love to come back in the future.

Everything about Casa Pacifique is perfection. We stayed there with family ages 12 to 75, and to a person, all were happy as could be. Marilia is excellent at coordinating everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. She books tours and golf carts and whatever you need. We didn't have to think about anything. What puts is all over the top is the beautiful and amazing house mom, Maricela. Her breakfasts and care for the house made the whole experience feel luxurious and relaxing. The town of Potrero is fabulous, and the beaches are varied and beautiful. It was one of the best vacations we have ever had!

Wonderful Experience!

Four couples stayed here 1/25-2/6/25, and we couldn’t have asked for more! Our host Marilia was available from the time we booked till when we checked out to help with any and everything. She set up tours, chef services (highly recommend!) golf cart rentals, transportation - you name it she covers it! The property is beautiful, and the views are spectacular. And there is no shortage of great restaurants all within a golf cart ride away.And I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shout out to our house mom Maricela - what a gem! Her breakfasts each morning were delicious and a great way to start the day. I miss her already ;)We had a great experience here, and Marilia made everything so seamless - all we had to do was relax and enjoy. I highly recommend a stay at Casa Pacifique, you won’t be disappointed!

Wonderful, memorable vacation!

The homeowner Marilia was in touch with us after booking to suggest and arrange activities and other items. She rented us a golf cart, booked deep sea fishing, catamaran excursion, and massages all prior to arrival. She recommended the golf course where my sons should play, and where we should go for horseback riding. This was extremely helpful, and in hindsight vital, to the success of our vacation. Upon arrival, we were thrilled with how beautiful and immaculately clean the house was. The view is beautiful, and the pool was awesome! Marilia was in contact to make sure we were situated and not needing anything. The house mom cooked us delicious breakfast on her working days, and then stayed to clean the house. She spoke very little English but was easy to communicate with and was a lovely person. The golf cart was so much fun to drive around the town in. We rented a car at the airport and used both vehicles during our stay. Our favorite restaurant was La Forketta. Nita was a great coffee shop/breakfast place for when the house mom was off. It was our first time in Costa Rica and it was a very culturally immersive experience. We met lots of lovely local people, as well as American expatriates. We will definitely return one day!

Spectacular at every turn!

Our family spent a week at this glorious house and we loved every minute of it. From the huge support that the owner provides getting logistics and adventures set up, to the house itself - which is beautiful and could not be located more perfectly - to the stunning beaches right down the hill. All of it was a treat! And we can’t say enough about the house mom and her wonderful breakfasts. We miss it all and we will be back!!

Amazing Potrero Vacation!

There’s not enough room to share how amazing our stay at Casa Pacifique was. The property is in a fantastic location, totally walkable to beaches (that we practically had to ourselves) and amazing food and entertainment options. Marilia, the host, was super communicative, checking in to ensure our stay was fantastic. She arranged transportation and an amazing sunset cruise excursion, recommended restaurants, and activities, and even covertly arranged to have birthday decorations up when we got back one evening as a surprise for my mom. Maricela, the housemom, could not have been sweeter and her breakfasts were fantastic. So nice to not have to worry about food first thing in the morning, and she kept the house in great shape. Between the rooftop deck, the pool, the huge kitchen and spacious bedrooms, and the wonderful location, we had everything we needed to experience the true meaning of Pura Vida. Would not hesitate to stay here again!!

Family Vacation in Costa Rica - Marilia is a great host!

We were a group of 8, ranging in age from 17 to 83. We were all very comfortable in the house. The only complaint was that the mattresses on the king beds were extra firm. The ones on the queen beds were less so. The bedding was soft. There were some extra soft blankets, which was nice. A few people had to use two pillows to make them full enough. The towels were nice. The washer and dryer were excellent. We did laundry everyday. The house is very well stocked. You will not have to worry about dishwashing soap, laundry detergent or even shower gel. It is all there. The house mom comes in daily so the kitchen and other main areas stay very tidy. Her breakfast each day is wonderful treat and really decreases daily expenditures. The pool is a wonderful plus - easy to just get in and cool off or spend a day reading and lounging. The cushioned lounge chairs are very comfortable. I would have enjoyed the waterfall being on more. It comes on for 2 hours a day in the late afternoon. You cannot see the ocean from the pool level, but that does not decrease the enjoyment of that area because the foliage and plants around the house are lovely. Be careful going up the stairs from the pool. There is an extra step at the top that is kind of a half step - easy to forget about and just enough to cause a trip and a fall. The top floor is amazing for sunsets. It seemed that my group avoided going up to the extra floor but when I insisted, everyone was amazed.

We found that beach from the ads...

From booking to check out, this stay was amazing. We booked the property based on the reviews and they are all accurate. Marilia was wonderful to work with - she and Graciano were prompt and thorough with a couple of minor issues. Maricela cooked amazing breakfasts and snacks for us, and we barely noticed she was there. The guacamole was our favorite snack, and we loved the traditional Costa Rica breakfast. The house was more than accommodating with the perfect pool and plenty of room for our older teens to have their own space. The immaculate sunsets were visible from every room, and we saw the occasional howler monkeys in the neighboring trees overlooking the ocean. The surrounding area is charming, filled with shops and restaurants tucked in nooks and some of the best coffee I've ever had. The access to gelato, bakeries and a variety of restaurants makes every day an adventure and the hardest decision we had to make each day was whether to revisit our new favorite place or try a new one. We spent most days at Playa Prieta, the beach you see in the advertisements. Soft sand, crystal clear water, rolling waves and the most pristine, clean beach (no shells or critters) I've ever seen. Marilia arranged the Catamaran snorkeling trip, which is a must; the sunsets are breathtaking, but by boat with a cocktail and good music, it's even better! I recommend a fishing trip and a day at Diamante Adventure Park for the best zip lining experience. We can't wait to come back!

Amazing vacation!

Loved the Casa Pacifique. Plenty of space for our family to retreat after tours, all coordinated by Marilia. Marilia had a 6-passenger golf cart waiting for us when we arrived, scheduled our sunset catamaran cruise, plus ATV beach tour. We also drove to Diamante Eco Adventure Park for ziplining and saw the sloths and monkeys. Highly recommend all the tours. The golf cart was perfect for driving to dinner in the evening, the breeze from the open cart was welcome after the 95+ degree hot weather during the day. Loved the hot weather. Maricela made our breakfasts in the morning - they were wonderful! Our kids would sit and try to talk Spanish with her while she cooked. Afternoon snacks were devoured quickly, empanadas and quacamole were great. The house was the nicest we have ever stayed at. Gorgeous kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, plus the pool and outdoor seating areas were over the top! Highly recommend this for your next vacation!

Beautiful Villa for a Family Getaway

You will be thoroughly satisfied with this property. The nearby beaches are pristine, uncrowded, and just a 7-minute walk away (unlike Flamingo or the beach right in Potrero). There is an ice cream parlor within walking distance that attracts visitors from afar. The villa is comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the pool is large (the photos are not exaggerated). The owners are very considerate of guests' needs, providing boxes, grocery bags, coolers, beach chairs, beach towels, and beach umbrellas. The highlight was the impeccable service provided by the owner, Marilia.

Amazing home in the perfect location!

Our stay at this home was nothing short of incredible!! The homeowner was beyond attentive and helped us every step of the way from booking dinner, reservations, excursions, a golf cart, to simply answering my many many questions as we have never been to Costa Rica before. All her recommendations were great! Having the house mom was such an amazing experience. She is so kind and we loved getting to know her during our stay. The breakfast and snacks she made were so delicious! The home has an amazing view of the ocean, and is so well laid out with a great pool, beautiful kitchen and tons of space for the six of us! There were a few days where we just stayed at the house and enjoyed the pool area and listening to the waves and watching the monkeys in the trees. Also, this house was incredibly clean! I am very picky when it comes to this aspect and I can honestly say I have never stayed in a vrbo that has been this clean. The beach that is within walking distance ( Playa Penca) is absolutely gorgeous and was our favorite beach to go to every day. I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience renting this home. We cannot wait to come back!

Amazing

There is no need to look at more vacation homes….this is where you want stay! From the day you book, the homeowner, Marilia, is there for you, sending a detailed welcome packet that will answer so many questions. Their favorite restaurants, beaches, excursions, car rentals, in house massages, private chef dinners and the list goes on and on. The best thing is that she will handle booking these things for you! We arrived to a golf cart rental that Marilia arranged. I highly recommend the sunset catamaran, as well as the Congo zip line tour which is only 20 mins away from the house and a 10 star experience! We also enjoyed the palo verde jungle cruise, where we saw more crocodiles and monkeys than I can count. Patagonia Del Mar and Hemingways were our favorite restaurants, but the best was our last day marilia arranged in house massages for us that afternoon followed by the private chef for dinner! Just do it….the prices are so reasonable and the experience is one you will never forget. Now let me tell you about the house….. Beautiful, immaculate, private, safe, and the house mom is so sweet and wonderful. Her breakfast making is a 12/10! The kitchen has everything, a blender, wine openers, it’s like being in your own kitchen. There is a Bose speaker, binoculars, beach towels, beach chairs/ toys. Hair dryers, shampoo/conditioner/soap in every room along with safe. Casa Pacifique is AMAZING and our family can’t wait to return to Costa Rica one day.

Tropical Paradise

Our group of seven women recently celebrated our 20th year of traveling together with a wonderful week at Casa Pacifique. What a beautiful, relaxing, and memorable week it was! First, one of the the most positive aspects of our stay at Casa Pacifique was the incredible support from Marilia, our host. From our first contact until after we left she was always accessible and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. She answered questions and arranged tours, transportation and golf cart rentals. She also checked in frequently during our stay to make sure everything was going well. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and Marilia truly sets the standard for excellence. I feel like we are friends even though we didn’t get to meet. The house is exactly as described in the listing. The views are breathtaking and the house is spotless and fully equipped with anything you could need, including starter supplies of coffee, milk, sugar, and paper products. The house mom made us a nice breakfast and afternoon snack for 4 of the days and cleaned every day except for her two days off. She was lovely and helpful, although our limited Spanish kept our communications pretty basic. The beach is nearby and there are convenient grocery stores and several nice restaurants. We did not have a car but rented golf carts to get around town, which worked out perfectly. All in all, Casa Pacifique was the perfect place to celebrate 20 years of friendship. Pura vida!

Best Host, beautiful place, overall perfection

Marilia goes above and beyond to ensure her guests have an amazing experience in Costa Rica. Everything was absolutely perfect. The place, the food, the scenery…. We followed Marilias suggestions for places to explore, did the catamaran cruise, ATV beach hopping, omg the Castle is a MUST especially for special occasions. We were 8 adults celebrating my husbands 50th bday. There was more than enough room in the Villa so everyone had their own space and privacy. Marisela cooked breakfast and cleaned..it was amazing. I honestly do not have one negative thing to say. The entire 7 day trip was wonderful and went by so so fast. We were all sad to leave. Thank you Marilia for letting us enjoy your beautiful place and making the entire trip a memorable experience. Pure Vida!

Book this place now!!!

This house was AMAZING!!!! It was perfect for 7 of us (4 adults & 3 teenagers). Very clean and had everything we could have needed. The pool was awesome and felt great after a day at the beach! The ac units in the bedrooms worked great and only took a short time to cool the rooms. The owners really set this place apart from other houses! She helped us with all of our tour bookings, made sure were knew how to work everything and even grocery shopped for us prior to our stay! They were there at the time of our visit, so it was so nice to meet them (& their 2 pups) in person. They had great recommendations on restaurants and beaches close by. We rented golf carts which was perfect to get to all of our excursions except for the zip lining at Diamante. Marilia set up transport for that day. Maricela, the house mom was amazing as well! Her food was to die for! We can't decide on our favorite meal from her bc it was all sooo good!!! We seriously do not have a single complaint about this house or vacation! We will 100% book this house again!!!! Thank you for all your hospitality and generosity!

Amazing!

Just book this! Perfect in every way. Marilia was spot on on all recommendations. She also had lots of patience with my many questions!!! She also arranged all our tours and transportation needs. Each family member loved the house and the town of Playa Potrero. If you are into tourist spots-Starbucks, McDonalds, souvenir shops everywhere, this isn’t your place to visit. You get a real feel for the area and the local life. The people are so friendly. Maricella, the house Mom who is part of the VBRO, was a treasure. She would come each morning. and fix breakfast for the 8 of us. She even walked us through a few of her recipes. She does have 2 days off a week, but Marilia did a great job scheduling her with our activities. She also works hard around the property, making sure the property is kept up. It was so nice to have a wonderful breakfast prepared and not have to worry about a thing! Our favorite things-the house: new and nicely decorated, Marcella, the wildlife around the property, the swings in the dining room, the 3 different views of the ocean, the pool, the rented golf carts-so fun, the local beaches-everything! As I said, just rent this property-you will not be disappointed! Also great restaurants too! The chef at Sol Y Mar( down the road) cooked up 2 different meals using the fish we caught on our deep sea fishing tour. Splurge on a private Catamaran Tour-pricey but worth it! Marilia did all the planning for us. Perfect family getaway! Thank you!

Moore Family Fun

Costa Rica has been on our bucket list for quite some time. We chose Casa Pacifique and couldn’t have been more pleased. The Villa is gorgeous, and allowed a lot of space for six adults and two children. Marilia (owner of the property) made reservations for our activities and was gracious in every way. The house mom, Maricela, made us delicious breakfasts and afternoon snacks. Carpe Diem right down the hill was a favorite coffee stop, too! The wind kept us from fishing and a catamaran cruise, but two different ATV excursions, Catalina Beach, Waterfall chasing and Diamenté were all memory making. Our next trip to CR will bring us back to the villa.
