"The location is truly stunning. The view from the top floor and pool area is so spectacular. The staff was excellent. The breakfast was top quality and so much choice. Dinner was also excellent although pricy. The spa and pools were great as well. Overall the hotel is a great spot, some of the decor felt outdated and outdoors some repairs are needed. But we were very happy with our stay."

"Breakfast was a bit shambolic. Scrambled egg, bacon, mushrooms and sausage for a cooked option is lacking somewhat. Even with such little hot selection it was rarely replenished meaning a wait. When the hotel is full, they'll never cope with thr size of the kitchen and the restaurant. That was the only disappointing thinking. Other than that, a faultless stay. "

"Beautiful and quiet Hotel. Room was big and clean. Loved the nice balcony as well. Inside and outdoor pool was a big plus. Bring a bathing cap if you want to use the indoor pool Great service from staff. Good food as well!"

We stayed in beautiful hotels in Portugal--this one is far/away the finest. Location is in the center of the historic, beautiful, charming village, which cannot be missed for meals, strolling, photos, etc. Highly recommend making the trip to the Arouca Geo Park for the Paiva Walkways and the suspension pedestrian bridge--experience of a lifetime!"
