「Lovely room, cosy and warm with a harbour view」

「Pleasant stay, Kernow House was as advertised and communication from the owners for key locations, etc were great. Location wise, it's in town, so don't expect view, but it a very convenient, short walk from the Harbour which what we wanted. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but otherwise good」

「The room was very clean and had been newly refurbished. We were a bit concerned that there were no contact details about what do in an emergency with no-one living on the premises. We only realised this on the last morning so couldn’t mention it to staff. I would normally speak to someone directly rather than on a public forum」

Ordering systems that failed. Simple things like getting your own coffee at breakfast did not work. Altogether a lack of energy and commitment to getting things right was missing. No obvious management. Fabulous views, great weather. Frustrating hotel. We stayed one night. Could not imagine staying longer. What a lost...

「A beautiful hotel in an incredible location, with lovely spa facilities that are worth a visit. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. That said, for a hotel of this calibre, we did notice a few areas where the experience fell short of expectations. Small touches — like having the tea tray refreshed without needing to ask — are the kind of details that elevate a stay, and we found ourselves having to prompt for these. 「The Old Post House was exactly as we had envisaged. Full of character, perfectly positioned over the harbour and very comfortable. Shelley helpfully gave us all the information we needed and left us to it. Parking would have been a challenge had we not been the only ones staying, but there was room in the village. In high season it could be an issue, given the small size of the place. A great place to stay and highly recommended.」

「It is a beautiful property with well appointed and attractive rooms. The staff were always willing to go the extra mile to help us. The only downside of the stay was there not being a lift, although staff was willing to help carry our bags upstairs.」

「Jaw dropping setting, tired building, so so room. Crippling understaffing at breakfast time leaves many customers waiting 10 minutes for coffee and over 39 minutes for breakfast. If you are short of staff, consider offering continental only option. Fast, easy.」

「Cosy single room in old part of hotel, I was on the top floor - had a fantastic view, may get very hot in the summer as there was no air conditioning and it got a lot of sun. Windows do open though. New bath/shower. Had iron, steamer and ironing board. No mini fridge, but there was a kettle. The room I had did have very steep stairs to get to top floor - probably not great for medium/ big suitcases, small carry on suitcase was fine for me to carry up.
