There was self check in and check out, so we literally never saw a staff member, but that wasn't a bad thing. About a mile walk to the beach and boardwalk. Sidewalks the entire way so safe and easy. 「I stayed here for the weekend with my daughter and it was perfect. Check-in was easy and they had a room ready in advance, room was clean, bed comfortable, blackout shades, AC pumping, 3 blocks to the beach and restaurants all around. If you want extras, they have a sister hotel for pool, gym and hotel bar. 」

「Angela July 18,2025 Hats off to The Dormer House! I love the Victorian Era. Nancy gave a warm greeting and checked on all guests. All staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay comfortable. The breakfasts were homemade and absolutely delicious every morning (I could count on the delicious coffee as well!). Cleanliness, central location to the beach and shopping, and convenient parking are all a plus. I will definitely return to The Dormer House. Stayed 4 nights in July 2025 」

「The property is very well kept and clean. Trish at the front desk was helpful, professional and very informative from check in to check out. And utilizing the shuttle on our last day while it was sweltering hot was so great. John was great in getting us to the downtown area. A walk across the street to the beach is amazing.
