"We recently stayed here for a week and there were a few things prospective guests should know. First, the resort places a $1,200 hold on your card for the duration of your stay. We were surprised by this because it was not clearly disclosed during the booking process. Second, if you’re booking this property primarily for the beach, you may want to adjust your expectations. We found the beach area to be muddy with an unpleasant odor, which was disappointing and significantly different from what we anticipated. The beds were also uncomfortable. We could feel the mattress springs, and getting a restful night’s sleep was difficult. While the property itself has some nice features, these issues had a significant impact on our overall experience. Unfortunately, we left feeling disappointed given the cost of the stay and our expectations."

"The hot tub was not on the property but was accessible through the property next-door, which was a little bit of a walk. Would have given it five stars if it wasn’t for the terrible individual at check-in. I don’t remember his name, but he stayed in the room in the back, not in the front where he belonged. He checked me into a room with no view actually a view with the wood fence could not see anything it felt like a prison cell. Call down to change room and was given a room on the third floor with a much better view of the pool problem solved, but it was and seemed like he didn’t care at all about my concerns or needs. I then ask for two robes to be sent to my room and you sent me two rolls of toilet paper instead so obviously there’s something seriously wrong with somebody who doesn’t care to listen to what you’re saying or your needs. Other than that overall I would go back knowing that I would have to deal with this moron again."

"I cannot recommend this property enough . The house was pristine, check in is simple, the location is awesome right in the middle of everything but on a very quiet street. The swim spa felt awesome after a long day of sightseeing. The lot across the road was great to hang out at. We used the kayaks almost every day to fish which was a blast lots of small barracuda,tarpon,snapper even a few shark snapped us off. On the very last evening a mom and baby manatee hung out for a bit in the canal.Kathy is very quick to respond. 10/10"

"Aqua Verde was absolutely perfect. The home was beautiful and so well equipped. We also found it to be in a perfect location with easy access to everything. We had plenty of parking which many houses seem to lack. I must also state the host was beyond helpful and quick to respond to all communication throughout the process. I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience. We can’t wait to visit Marathon again and would absolutely love to be able to book this home again. If you’re looking for a boat captain I’d like to also mention Austin with Captain Jays charters."
