Not really sure how to best describe this experience. We chose this place since it is near Hadrians Villa and Villa D’Este in Tivoli. It felt more like a homestay rather than a regular B & B. The house is in an upscale suburban neighborhood that seems to be tired and unkempt with high weeds in sidewalks. WiFi was glitchy. The owner is a sweet older gentleman. We were the only guests. Owner lives in the upstairs area. Bathroom and bedroom were nice but a bit cluttered and dated such as dusty empty perfume bottles in the bathroom. We were a bit uncomfortable with the three keys for unlocking the series of bolted doors which were the driveway gate, the iron gate into the house and then a wooden door into the house. Yet, the bedroom did not have a keyed entry lock. The owner conveyed that our car was safe on the street. When a neighborhood cat set off our car alarm in the night, it was quite a scramble to get out unlocking all of the door bolts with our series of keys. The owner stayed up until midnight the first night with the tv volume blaring. He may not have realized how loud it was but there was really no way to communicate this to him at that hour. Breakfast is self serve and prepackaged and neatly layed out. We opted to go out for coffee. Maybe others will find this accommodation to their liking.…Not really sure how to best describe this experience. We chose this place since it is near Hadrians Villa and Villa D’Este in Tivoli.
