"A fantastic ryokan experience. We had a delux room with private bathroom. Slept on mats on the floor which was surprisingly comfortable. The onsen offered 2 small hot baths covered and open to outdoors. Breakfast was amazing, offering Japanese and American style cuisine. Had difficult time finding restaurants for dinner, not many choices and they fill up early. Walkable to most sights. "

"This was the perfect place for our little group to begin our trip in Japan. The (included) breakfasts and dinners were amazing, gourmet and generous. The hot spring pools were so relaxing and renewing. Our bedrooms were quite large and comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful--driving us into town for our pottery touring, helping us figure out the best way to get to Tokyo, even writing down a few essential/survival phrases in Japanese for us ;-) I will always remember Mashikokan as a...
