Fabulous stay would recommend Alex & Stacey are lovely people and great hosts, rooms are very good standard and well kept breakfast was fantastic and the hotel is perfect for exploring the area, leave the car in the car park and get on the trains/ buses which are a stones throw away and you can get everywhere quickly

This hotel is amazing. We stayed over the weekend and Alex and Stacey couldn’t have better hosts. They make you feel so welcome and they are so friendly. You arrive at the hotel as a guest and you really do feel like you leave as friends. The breakfast is so yummy and the overall experience was amazing. Would recommend to anyone ! And we will definitely be staying again in the future!

We stayed in Heathcliff House for a couple nights in August and had a very pleasant stay. Alex and Stacey were both really welcoming and the breakfast was lovely which catered for vegetarians (a huge factor for me!). The car park was also a bonus for us, however the beach and town centre were both in walking distance and public transport very close by too. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anybody looking for somewhere to stay in Torquay 😊

Really enjoyed our stay at Heathcliff House. Alex and Stacey are the perfect hosts and very welcoming. The property has various rooms of varying sizes and parking for all guests. The hotel is about 20 mins walk down to the main shopping street and seafront and is also on the no 12 bus route which has buses every 10 mins throughout the day and evening to the town centre, to Paignton (for connections to Totnes and Plymouth) and Brixham. Hope to stay again sometime - there is so much more for us to explore!

Super welcoming Alex and Stacey definitely go the extra mile for there guests, and you leave as friends. Hotel is in a quiet part of town but close enough to be convenient with ample parking and the local number 12 (round robin) bus if needed stops outside the hotel.

Lovely stay, would recommend

Lovely stay, incredibly friendly. Only two things, the shower wasn't particularly warm, even on its highest settings and the room got very hot in the night, even with the window on the latch. Other than that, everything thing was brilliant. Breakfast highly recommended.

This was a great place to stay. Juliette and Nigel were so friendly. The room was small but comfortable. Our room was at the front of the house and therefore some traffic noise. Breakfast was good, with lots of home made jams and muffins. The walk to the seafront was a KM or two. We really enjoyed our stay.

Happy break away

Stayed for 2 nights. Nigel & Juliette were very welcoming, had excellent knowledge of the area. The rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable, tea & coffee making facilities were nice. We paid for breakfast which was definitely worth it. Unlimited cereal, fruit and cooked breakfast to order. All in all a wonderful couple of days and would certainly return to Heathcliffe House.

On arrival Nigel was charming and friendly showing us to our room. The room had ample room with wardrobe, dressing table. The bed was comfy and ensuite with electric shower was great. The breakfasts cooked by Nigel and Juliette was scrumptious. All in all we enjoyed a great weekend. Thank you for your hospitality Nigel & Juliette.

Great Place to Stay in Torquay-strongly recommend

This was our first stay at Heathcliffe House although we take regular short breaks in Torquay a couple of times a year finding the Newton Road a very useful location on a frequent convenient bus route we made a change from our previous hotel which had got impersonal and had parking and wi-fi issues. Heathcliffe House was a great improvement and we were really impressed by their attention to detail on the booking arrangements and follow-up with local information. This was a vicarage in the distant past with a link to Agatha Christie and has loads of character - the room 4 at the front had been recently renovated and was comprehensively fitted with good free Wi-Fi reception amongst the easiest to log into we have come across. The breakfast offering was excellent with local produce and homemade items if anything a struggle to manage the full English - service was quick and attentive and the dining room layout and facilities first class.. Plus points was good parking facilities and the friendly personal attention from the proprietors Nigel & Juliette who have been there two years. We will certainly be staying again on any future Torquay Holiday breaks and strongly recommend Final Tip - they offer a Devon Cream Tea pre-booked on arrival which we took up and was really excellently presented on arrival.

Lovely people who can't do enough for you

Great experience from the start with a phone call asking what time did I expect to arrive during my journey after which I was later delayed but told not to worry. Checked in by the son of the owners who was pleasant and helped me to my room carrying some of my belongings and then later got me a beer which is stocked with local drinks when possible so had a Devon Crafted Lager which was a nice beer and helped me order a taxi. At breakfast there was lots of choice and breakfast was cooked to order how you wanted it, crispy bacon how I like it, thanks.... and thanks for looking after me and hopefully see you next season if Torquay are not relegated !

Look no further! Probably the best B&B in Torquay!

Look no further for the perfect B&B for your stay in Torquay. Nigel and Juliette could not do more to make you welcome and happy. Our room was perfect, clean, with nice big windows giving a lovely view over Torquay with a lovely pot of homemade short bread as a finishing touch. Breakfast was lovely and cooked to order - we loved the home made marmalade and churned butter. There was also cereals, yogurt and a great selection of juices. Location is great, small walk down to the seafront which we enjoyed but if you are sight seeing further out it's also a great central point to jump out on the road as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and are already planning our next trip, we won't hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Nigel and Juliette!
