Midweek getaway

Had a fantastic stay for a couple nights. Nothing was to much trouble and the rooms were so clean and tidy with some lovely little touches. When we arrived a little early it was no trouble at all and was made so welcome. Would definitely recommend staying as we would stay again.

Lovely welcome as always from Yvonne & Jamie on our return to Mount Edgcombe. Extremely clean rooms with great breakfast, nothing is too much trouble. The position of this B&B is ideal for Torquay & Paignton. We will be looking forward to our next stay which we are already planning.

Our hidden gem

We had an amazing weekend stay with Yvonne and Jamie. They were so hospitable and friendly. It's the small things, plus the attention to detail that count. We celebrated our anniversary, and they really helped to make the day special, with little treats at breakfast. We would definitely stay again and recommend this guest house to anyone. You won't be disappointed. Our very own hidden gem, with a 5-star personal touch - thank you guys!

Fabulous Guest House.

The owners were lovely, couldn’t do enough for you. The property was spotless. Excellent stay. If I had to say anything negative, and that is difficult, the mattress was too soft for me. Would definitely come here again.

Obviously things had been adapted due to the current situation, but it didn’t stop them still being extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Everywhere was very clean. We only had breakfast, but this was very tasty, and cooked perfectly to different preferences. Would highly recommend.

This place is amazing! So clean and the staff really can not do enough for you. Nice little 10 min wall to the beach front. The rooms are so spacious and clean. I could not recommend this place enough if you stay in Torquay we will be back. Thank you for making us feel Wellcome and at ease during the pandemic.

Great stay

Had a great stay even if it was for 1 night, clare was very friendly and accomodating.had a twin room as they were fully booked but that was fine,room was very clean , bright and fresh beds were very comfotable.they made great use of the space in the room.breakfast was lovely and hot (full english) along with a variety of pastries,cereal and fresh fruit .we will definitely stay again and for longer next time and might even get to see some of Torquay as it was just an overnight visit for a 60th birthday . Great short break

Great stay, We could not fault it in anyway, very helpful. And if your worried its a little bit to far to walk to the town centre, a taxi cost £5 Either that or a nice walk of about 50min to the town centre, or 25min to the beach.

Simply Sublime

Located ten minutes walk from the beach, this hotel has a great location but its excellent, attentive staff are by far the best quality. Very conscious of our food intolerances and incredibly friendly, the couple that run the place chat to every single one of their guests and are just fantastically welcoming. Full of helpful local knowledge and willing to call in local favours too (they offered to ring a local taxi firm and try to get a discount rather than let another guest at the hotel struggle with the trains). The room was comfortable and spacious and the bathroom was of a good quality with a powerful shower (I love a power shower). Breakfast time is a little short (just an hour) but it makes you get up and get going and you will, because you don't want to miss out on the cooked breakfast you can get yourself. All in all, a fantastic place to stay. Next time I'm in the area, I will be coming here.

Spot on place to stay in Torquay

From the moment I arrived and was greeted by Claire - I was made to feel welcome and looked-after. My room was big with a truly King Size bed that was comfy so with that and the total peace I slept like a log! Breakfast by Dave was tasty and generous so set me up for the day ahead for sure. I loved the decor and the bathroom had a great shower and not one of those silly electric things - it was a full on soaking! The location is also great with just a 5min walk to the sea front and on to great places to eat and watch the bay. If they have availability - snap it up!
