bureaucratic property manager
I didn't get any reply when I reached out to the property through the message and phone number listed on vrbo proper to our stay. I got a different phone number to the property manager from the cleaning crew and was able to reach the manager, but he provided only excuses and no help. This is by far the worst property manager I have ever encountered.
There was a strong sewer smell coming from the shower water outlet. The property manager replied that the odor was from the city works and did nothing. The oven and the toaster were rusty and very dirty. The dish towels had disgusting discolored stains and we were told the towels were cleaned with high temperatures and detergent. The manager wouldn't replace them or did anything. There was no instructions for any of the appliances and we wasted ~30 minutes to find the information ourselves on the internet to unlock the stove. The toilet paper was provided with just one day of supply. I was surprised that I had to purchased toilet papers after paying over 200 euros a night!
The wifi was very slow. The property was on the 3rd floor, i.e. 4th floor in U.S. The building has high ground floor and 1st floors. It is more like climbing to the 5th floor. The narrow and slanted stairs made climbing worse. The building is next to noisy restaurants full of youngsters. If I opened the windows, I sometimes smelled the hamburgers.
