The property was amazing, location, views community all wonderful. Nearby grocery store, drug store, and restaurants. The peace and serenity of the property was a welcomed addition. The thought and care that went into the decor, fully stocked with the essentials (dishes, towels, blankets laundry room) all very well kept and modern. The house was spotless upon arrival. We were able to see wildlife right from our window! Deer, black bears, coyotes it was beautiful. Shopping outlets, Walmart and other retailers were only 30 minutes away if you wanted something that you were unable to find in the neighborhood. I’m planning to visit again.

Perfect and Quiet

First time to the Smokeys and so glad we chose Townsend. The “cabin” was beautiful and really worked well for our family and friends. Tucked away amidst the trees, we had beautiful views and the neighborhood was quiet except for the locusts of course!! Cabin was well appointed and nicely decorated. The communication went smoothly. We did have a little excitement when a bear and her cub were quick to intercept some garbage while we were loading up the car to leave. They were easily shooed off (not very happy about it!), and we got to see them before we left. Overall a very wonderful five days and would highly recommend if looking for peace and the forest experience. If you prefer Myrtle Beach, go to Gatlinburg. :)!!

Sweet Retreat

Beautiful cabin in the Smokey Mountains. We enjoyed our stay and everything was as described. Very clean and comfortable. We recommend this cabin for a Smokey Mountain vacation.

Quick get away

The cabin was extremely clean and the area was very quiet. Perfect get away for some R&R. There are no mountain views from the cabin, but we did see a bear walk around the cabin and down the driveway.

Perfect cabin

We were 2 families meeting for vacation and this cabin was perfect. There was plenty of room for all of us. Although not completely secluded, it is very private and quiet. Close to Townsend. The cabin was exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable.

The property was just as described. It was clean and cozy. Tbere we’re plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. This made it easy to cook.

Don’t rent from this company- invasion of privacy

Smoky Cabins Vacation Rentals is the property mgt company for this location and they are completely unprofessional. Post check out, this company sent me a scathing email falsely stating that I left trash and dirty dishes throughout, and that the cabin was left in disarray resulting in them charging me an additional "cleaning fee". Also, they stated I brought a dog onto the property. In reality, my family’s dog was with me upon check in but did NOT stay at the property, he stayed with family at the campground at Cades Cove, TN. They also claimed there was dog hair inside the cabin - which may be true because we do own 2 dogs (who were not with us), so there may have been dog hair among our belongings when we unpacked. Disturbingly, the property manager admitted to watching us "only on the cameras outside the house” and I promptly then asked them to look at the tape and notice we did take out the trash. I also personally cleaned the kitchen, loaded, and turned on the dishwasher before we departed the cabin. Before and after booking, this company solicited us to rent directly with them to avoid “3rd party booking fees”, which is violation of VRBO policy. Finally, I had my 3 teenage daughters staying in the cabin and all of them spent time in the hot tub located outside the cabin so I am sure the property managers “watched” my daughters from the “multiple outside cameras” on the property. I am disgusted and offended. Will never ever rent from this company.

Perfect Family Gathering

We found Sweet Retreat on very short notice, we were travelling to Townsend for a family funeral. So we did not get to take full advantage of this lovely property as a vacation spot, but it was exactly what our family needed for this busy and bitter sweet gathering. We look forward to re-visiting Sweet Retreat under more amenable circumstances in the future.

Excellent!

We were on a girls trip to celebrate a friends birthday. This cabin was perfect for four ladies. We had plenty of room and three bathrooms was also handy with four girls. Had everything there we could possibly need and the cabin was spotless! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for the “peaceful side” of the Smoky’s!

4 adults and 3 kids had a great time in this piece of heaven! Rooms were perfect for this many people. Kids loved the air hockey and the community pool. Adults loved the space! The proximity to the Smoky’s was perfect! We love Townsend!

Absolutely perfect!

Our family loved this cabin! It is in the most gorgeous, peaceful location. The house is beautifully decorated and has so many extras. It was very clean. Beds are comfy. Had a chance to swim at the country club. Everyone was so friendly & the pool was perfect. Wait until you see this view! The kids & hubby can't wait to come back to golf here as well. Townsend, the town it is located in has a lot of stuff to do as well- rafting, hiking, caves, shopping, restaurants
