The little gem offers amazing views of the lake and the Sangre De Cristo mountain range. Relax on the spacious deck with grill or enjoy the outdoor sports of Colorado. With Cuchara Ski Basin now open, skiing is just a day trip away! Kayak and fish in the lake, hike, mountain bike or just enjoy the beautiful views. This is the perfect spot to relax for up to 2 adults. Inquire about pets. Come and enjoy Colorado outdoors. This is 20 min from downtown. The roads are dirt and a 4WD is not required but may make travel easier in inclement weather.

This was the perfect combination of isolation and adventure! It was so quiet at the cabin and the view was beyond description. A trip to the state park nearby and downtown Trinidad complemented this cozy retreat. Our host clearly has a passion for hospitality. Our stay couldn’t have been better!

Good communication with Amy, very hospitable. Easy check-in and check-out. Very clean, cozy and quant lil gem by the lake with beautiful views from the outside deck of the lake & mountains, very private tucked away in the mountain landscape.Very surprised by the beautiful flowers and goodie’s welcoming us to this home away from home. We will definitely be back in the near future.

Cozy place with a great view of the lake and city lights. The drive into the home was not as rough as we thought it would be, we have a Pathfinder and had no issues getting in or out (we left in freezing fog). We spent Thanksgiving and had all the amenities needed. The extra little touches of fresh flowers, wine and snacks for us and the dogs was gratefully appreciated. We were able to complete our virtual 5k Turkey Trot by walking the road and even saw wild turkeys. This was our first time staying in a tiny home and we were impressed with the layout. The kitchen is very impressive. The weather was a bit chilly so we didn't get the chance to use the Blackstone or the great deck out back.Great hosts and very accommodating. Highly recommend for a couples getaway.

Enjoyed a really nice getaway at the Lake View cabin. The view from the porch was amazing. Really nice area for hiking. The property owner/manager was quick to respond with any questions that there was some nice welcome gifts upon our arrival. A very nice welcoming touch.

We spent a long weekend in Trinidad to attend the Fancy Spider music fest and chose the cabin for our stay. The cabin is cozy with a wonderful back patio that is perfect for morning coffee or relaxing in the afternoon breeze. The welcoming goodie’s were a pleasant surprise especially the breakfast pastry and juice and the snacks. The drive up is rugged and it’s accurate to describe the cabin as remote. If you’re looking for a true getaway from Trinidad’s vibrant downtown this place is a great choice. You’ll be only 15 minutes from town and once you’re settled in it’s a relaxing place to relax and recharge. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom are well laid out and functional. The interior seating is limited so if you’re interested in hosting guests it might be suitable for possibly 4 or maybe 6 people. Overall a real back to nature vibe yet not too far from town.

Extremely comfortable and well-stocked tiny home. A little off the main path but beautiful vies of lake Trinidad. Kitchen very functional, nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Sweet goodies on arrival, including for my pup!

Wedding guest getaway

This property was exactly what we needed when my husband and I were attending a wedding across the lake at the State Park. We arrived a few days before the wedding and the cabin was a perfect retreat. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the cooking utensils needed and the grill was easy to use and clean. The roads to get there can be rough but we were informed about that from the owner, as well as detailed driving instructions. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with gorgeous scenery.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin outside of Trinidad. It is very, very small, but it suited our needs. The hostess left snacks, fruit, muffins, and a bottle of wine for us when we arrived, which we really appreciated. We often sat out on the large covered deck to enjoy a great view of the lake, which was what we were aiming for. (You cannot enjoy this view from inside unless you are sitting at the kitchen bar. But that was ok with us, because we had pretty good weather for sitting outside when we were hanging around at the cabin.) We liked having the big screen TV to watch Netflix shows in the evenings. It was easy to get to and from Trinidad and the surrounding areas, and we enjoyed the view from several points on the road going up and down. We have an all-wheel drive vehicle, so we could manage the last few miles to the cabin from Trinidad without any issues, but I'm not sure how easy it would be for a regular car.
