Great for our large family of 9 consisting of grandparents, 30 yo adults, and two children. We loved the open concept and the game room was great for entertaining everyone. We rented in July and were allowed to park on the street, which was helpful. The house was furnished with everything we needed and was very close to local outdoor activities. (Donner Lake, Truckee River, downtown Truckee). The extra large dining table and numerous seating options were much appreciated to accommodate our group. We loved the decks for morning coffee and evening BBQs.A couple of notes: 1) As can be seen from the listing photos, there are A LOT of stairs (both inside and out) which made moving in and out difficult as well as navigating between floors during our stay. The downstairs area is an extra long way away from the main level for keeping tabs on younger family members compared to a typical two story home. 2) This community has many amenities and there were guest passes available, however, a fee is required to use them. For instance, for our day trip to Donner Lake, we opted to use the Donner State Park beach instead of the community private beach right next door. We found it to be a better alternative and price at 10 per car. 3) The back outside area is mostly undeveloped making it tricky to move around outdoors.All in all we had a very positive experience. We have utilized vacation rentals many times in several different states and have found it to be a pleasure!
