"My two friends and I stayed at Crystal Rapids Retreat to celebrate our “mid-life” milestone birthdays. We wanted to ditch the city to better connect with each other and nature, which we did ALL weekend. From watching the sun rise while drinking coffee on the deck… to traversing the Muskegon River in our kayaks… to grilling out for dinner and laughing around the fire pit, there was no shortage of peace and enjoyment. The property is well-maintained, supplies are aplenty, and the neighbors are very kind. This property is an affordable, hidden gem that won’t disappoint!"

" We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Cabbage, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was just as described—clean, comfortable, and inviting. The location couldn’t be better! Not far from the stunning Sleeping Bear Dunes and the charming Fishtown, we found ourselves perfectly positioned to explore the beauty of the area. Our visit on July 11th, 2025, was quite warm, so we were especially grateful to step into a cool, air-conditioned haven upon our arrival. It was the perfect respite from the summer heat! Everything about our stay was fantastic, and we're already looking forward to our next visit. If you're looking for a clean, welcoming place to unwind, we highly recommend The Cabbage. You won't be disappointed! Can't wait to come back! 🌼"

"It was a great all inclusive getaway. We never left the 4 days we were there. I was very impressed with the amount of gates used. This made the young mom’s feel more comfortable knowing their kids were safe. The beach was smaller than expected but still good. Dock was in an awkward spot so we never used it."

"We stayed 2 nights in a queen room upstairs over the 4th July weekend. The bedwas clean and comfortable the bathroom was fine. We used the pool and the hot-tub which was good also. Some areas are looking like they need attention but overall the price was right for the offering. Breakfast was good with some healthy options."

"I honestly cannot complain about a single thing with our visit. The owner is awesome and knowledgeable with local businesses and places to explore and stay busy. The property is beautiful, with a private dock you can sit, relax by the water and drink a beer while reeling in tons of fish. The camper is very well taken care of and was immaculately clean upon arrival. AC, Wifi, shower, bathroom, stove, grill all work as they should. (Heads up, it gets chilly at night up there so make sure you don’t forget to set thermostat like I did. 100% my fault.) We were lucky enough to get to go for a trip around the lakes on the owners pontoon with his father (Awesome military vet) giving us the tour with tons of local knowledge and stories. I 100% recommend this for a relaxing couples getaway, we will be booking our next trip soon! "

"Was easy to find the property following the directions provided. Had a hard time getting into the lock box but the property/location was fantastic! The surrounding location was beautiful roads to travel around. Stayed with my husband and our 4 kids. The younger ones absolutely loved the sandy shallow private swimming area right outside the cottage. The teens spent most of the week out on the paddle boat. Even talked dad into taking one ride. Everyone really enjoyed fishing. They caught plenty of sun fish and blue gill and a few bass. Shout out to Jackie's airport restaurant they had the best breakfast and dinner we had! We all had a great time. "

"We had the best experience! The host Connie was amazing. Her responsiveness was unbelievable prompt. The pool, and the game room kept the kids happy. Beach access and the view from the house is picturesque! We will definitely revisit! "
