A Comfortable Stay

The Tulum Suites provided a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and very service orientated. The amenities in the room were good, although the kitchenette could use a bit more utensils and cooking items, and maybe a coffee maker. Other than that we had little to be concerned with. The rooftop patio was a great place to watch the sunset and have breakfast. The access to the Dos Ciabas Beach Club was a real plus.

Suites Tulum is beach front located on the quiet side of the hotel area, but in walking distance to the frenetic night life the best Tulum has to offer (Bonboniere, Vagalume etc…you name it!). Our room is spacious and spotless, Tulum-ly decorated, bed and pillows are very comfortable, we have a balcony facing the swimming pool. We love the greenery in the entire hotel, it adds a secluded and serene feel to it, this is very important for us to rest after a night out. The roof has a pool, kitchen, a lot of beanbags and a huge sun bed overlooking the endless Mayan jungle, the best place in Tulum to watch the sunset (go up around 6h30 PM, it’s spectacular!). We were nicely greeted by Nico, he is very friendly and helpful. We got free access during our entire stay to the beach club right in front of the hotel. (access to the beach is quite a hassle in Tulum as many places require a minimum spend, even you just want to walk on the beach). This is a big plus! This part of the beach is as beautiful as Playa Maya, a second-to-none beach experience in the entire Riviera Maya! The Loco restaurant in the hotel is also amazing! The risotto is delicious, the bar is very nice and music is not too loud so that we can have a conversation without yelling. We will definitely come back

We spent our last two nights here before heading into the city of Tulum and it was the perfect quiet and calm environment we needed before the hustle and bustle of the city. We stayed in the room with the kitchenette, although some amenities weren’t working such as the kettle, we weren’t bothered by it since we mostly needed the stove top to boil water anyways. This room is romantic and has a lovely balcony with lots of privacy. The rooftop was INCREDIBLE. Perfect place to relax and watch the sunset. Highly recommend for couples!

De incheck ging heel soepel, Ivo stond klaar en hielp heel attent met onze bagage, de kamer was ruim en wij hebben er absoluut geen stroomuitval, water te kort of koud water om te douchen mee gemaakt, prima voor elkaar!! Op alle etages stond drinkwater om gratis te pakken. Wij hebben ook enorm genoten van het grote dakterras om de zon onder te zien gaan. Iedereen was heel behulpzaam en het eten bij restaurant Loco was ook heerlijk. Aanrader, huur fietsen en fiets een stuk richting de ruïne, daar worden de prijzen van eten en drinken een stuk meer betaalbaar. Wat ons betreft is Suites Tulum een aanrader en voor de prijs die ze per nacht vragen zeker niet duur vergeleken met hotels in de buurt. Iedere dag werd er door heel enthousiast en net personeel gezorgd dat onze vakantie goed is verlopen!!

Very nice

We stayed 2 nights at the Suites Hotel. Communication with Dani was great and a security let us in as we were 6h delayed. Bed very comfortable and loved the athmosphere of the room and the whole hotel. Lovely coffee spot across the road with great coffee. 2 min walk to the beach club where you have access to the beach and can use the sun lounges with a minimum spend. Absolutely enjoyed the day there. Definetly would book again

Cool and comfortable. Great roof deck

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchenette was basic but we were happy to have a fridge and coffee machine (but coffee not included). The hot water for the shower was hot. Most importantly, the AC worked quite well. In fact that was the main reason we stayed here, while the rest of the wedding party stayed at Dos Ceibos (no AC there). The electricity comes from a generator - not exactly eco-friendly, but then again I'm the one demanding AC, and solar+battery for AC all night is absurdly expensive to implement. The generators are off noon to 5pm every day. Seems fair, we were almost never in the room at that time. One day it rained ALL DAY, and they left the generators on all day too. Very cool. The concierge was extremely good about communicating and responding via WhatsApp. That was very important because there isn't a front desk. He was there to meet us when we arrived and gave us the tour. His english was excellent. The wifi was just barely fast enough to do video calls. The wifi is only available when the generators are running. My brother was stayed on the 1st floor and got zero cell service. My 2nd floor room got an ok cell signal so I could still text and check emails. The 4th and 5th floor roof decks get a pretty solid cell signal, but it varies. One time I got LTE up there instead of the usual 3G. But other times I had zero speed, in spite of 3 bars of 3G. My wife managed to get her work done, but it was a bit hairy when she was on live calls.

We stayed for one night. Communication was great leading up to it and also to arrange taxi for us to Tulum. However the toilet didn't flush. And it was soooo noisy our neighbours were up partying with awful music on really late!
