「Very dated. No plugs near the bed. TVs don’t work. Towels didn’t seem clean.」

「Lovely location, lovely staff, services & supplies were pretty big standard, and hotel looking a bit tired. Would have been an excellent review if it was $200-400 per night range but it was more than double that so I thought value for money I’ve had much better on Raro.」

「We just had an overnight stay here getting in late from Honolulu and leaving the next day at 4. The room was great. Right on the beach. Clean and very nice. The restaurant was great for lunch and we hung out by the pool.」

「Highlights: Enjoyed Donyie, the front desk receptionist/agent, at check In and at various times checking in with our party of 11. Jericho, our waiter at Tiki, was courteous and helpful. Our room was clean and I enjoyed the warm water in the shower. Area of Improvement: I loud noise by the music and people at Hula Bar.」

「Take ear plugs! The Roosters never shut up! The facilities are basic, but clean and OK. Pool is OK as long as large groups don't take over. Nautilus staff we found dismissive, Muri staff more pleasant. BBQ area is nice but the hot plates are old and barely heat meaning without an over, self catering is challenging. Good proximity to beach and great use of snorkles / kayak / reef shoes etc.」

「Pleasant rural outlook, away from area of bars and resorts, but a short drive to Muri shops, beach and dining. It is a comfortable apartment. The driveway is a bit rough, and I was glad to have got a taxi there, and hired a car next day, as it would have been hard to find in the dark.」

「Would highly recommend and would stay again. Spacious clean rooms. Just across the road from the beach and had a nice refreshing pool. Used BBQ and borrowed reef shoes + snorkel. Nice vibe around the block as the rooms have terrace balconies opening to the garden and we were so lucky to have lovely easygoing neighbours 🙂 Shop and dining options just few minutes away」

「Aroa Kainga is one of the best places we ever stayed at. The bungalow and the veranda offer plenty of space and the kitchen is perfectly equiped - you'll find everything you need if you wish to cook your own meals. Location is particularly good if you are into snorkelling as the nearby beach is the best snorkelling place in Rarotonga.
