"The host never responded to us at any point. She did not send us the code for the key to get in to the place. We were only able to get in at all because of a friendship with the people who rent another place on the same property who were able to contact the property manager. Then once we did get inside, there was no water available. Most likely it was frozen. But we had to haul water from another location in order to even be able to flush the toilet during our stay. Showers were not an option...

"Bluntly, the room wasn't clean. I had to sweep the floor and wipe the toilet. Half the parking lot was flooded. We were put in some kinda sketchy studios by the highway rather than the B&B we were expecting. That said, the owner was extremely kind and tried to make it up to us. We changed our plans and ended up staying in Anchorage that night so their willingness to refund the rest of the stay was very kind. If you stay, make sure you're in the main B&B. It looks quaint."
