Romantic or Family Vacay w/ Stunning Mtn Views & Hot Tub near Crabtree Falls
Enjoy a romantic getaway or relax with the whole family on a special family vacation at this peaceful retreat in the mountains. Surround yourself by nature, sleep peacefully, listen closely to the myriad sounds of nature, relax in the hot tub or around the fire pit, and stargaze at the beautiful stars with a deluxe telescope. Nine Ridges has incredible views of Three Ridges Mountain, Chimney Rock, and Maintop Mountain. It sits on 20 private acres, just two short miles from Crabtree Falls and about 4 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. We harness the sun for energy, have the modern convenience of fiber internet and the peace of mind of a back-up generator. Much of the artwork, decor and some of the furniture was inspired by the property and crafted by the artisan owners. Relax & unwind - you deserve it. We sleep 4 comfortably in 2 bedrooms.
Our home is a great place to create special memories. There is a bedroom upstairs with a king-sized bed, a bonus room off the bedroom for one small child or to read, and a queen-sized canopy bed downstairs. There are two full bathrooms.
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains Montebello, VA, Crabtree Falls, the highest vertical-drop cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi, is just 2.1 miles from the house. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only about 4 miles from the house.

13 out of 10 stars! This place is a magnificent oasis, tucked away in the mountains near Crabtree Falls and up on a mountain a quarter mile off the highway! We were "snowed in" for about ten days and LOVED EVERY SECOND of our stay! Monica is beyond fabulous! Like others, I'm sure, we did not want to leave! You will not find a better place, or a better host!Well worth every penny! The house was spectacular! My daughter and her family stayed, and she didn't want to leave! The views were majestic and the layout was impressive. The host was in constant communication even during her family tragedy. I would highly recommend this location . . . 10/10!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, very well-equipped, and perfectly located—close to plenty of fun activities but also great for a quiet, relaxing time in. The hosts were super communicative and genuinely great to work with. We would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing rooms - great bedroom for young ladies on our trip and a good sized master with a king bed. Very clean and had all we needed to cook on the grill, huddle around the fire pit, soak in the hot tub, and lounge in the living room. Very long curvy slow drive on route 56 but gets you away from everyone and everything. Little road noise but that was the only items that didn't make this place completely peaceful. We'll be back again for a VMI weekend!

Unbelievable place and hosts!
I wish I could give our stay a TEN star rating! The house was so very comfortable in so many ways..from the beds to the LR furniture. Monica was very accommodating and friendly. She immediately took care of a problem we had with no issues whatsoever! We will definetly be back in October- when Im sure the views will be SPECTACULAR!

Wonderful, Private retreat with Amazing views
We absolutely loved this wonderful mountain home! Inside and out were so impressed with everything it has to offer. This home was very private on its own 20 acre property on the side of a mountain within a beautiful national forest providing the best views from almost anywhere on the property (but especially from the living room/deck). The drive up to the home on the long winding road was mesmerizing and the views from the property were even better. We saw more stars than we've ever seen and just loved looking up at them during the nights. The amenities this home provided were top notch as well. I would highly recommend this home to anyone interested. On top of the beautiful home and location, the owner Monica was so nice and inviting, she was in contact with us multiple times with travel advice and helpful tips and recommendations for things to do in the area. Crabtree falls was just minutes away and provided an amazing hiking experience and a wonderful view. Breweries, wineries and orchards all surrounding the home and it being centralized between Lexington ans Staunton was a nice treat!

Wonderful vista!
The house is amazing - well appointed with great views! There's a great waterfall hike just two miles away as well. We had everything we needed for relaxing getaway. House was perfectly clean and everything we needed was provided.

Lovely home and views
We really enjoyed our long weekend at this home. The home was clean, decorated beautifully, and offered a lot of luxury touches. The property is nestled in the woods for privacy, yet the view is stellar. Monica is an incredible host and provided us with a lot of information about the area as well as some events that were happening. We definitely look forward to a future visit at Nine Ridges!

Monica was an INCREDIBLE Hostess, for an EXCEPTIONAL property! The communication for check in instructions was extremely detailed: check in/out instructions, tips for interacting with the local Bears if they appeared, directions if the GPS failed, a list of wineries and breweries within 40 minutes of the property, she even took a screen shot of the local weather for my family and I!
The amenities for the property from the toaster to the dishes were great quality: the water was a reverse osmosis unit for clean/filtered water throughout the entire house, the showers had lavender in netted bags that smelled amazing during a hot shower, the linens were so comfortable with plenty of extras, the FULL laundry washer and dryer were very simple to use (she even provided the detergent and dryer sheets), she provided binoculars/walkie talkie radios/crank flashlights, the fire pit area was beautiful at night…honestly, the amenities go on and on and on; truly a top-notch property in every way.
Also, for a piece of mind: the power went out on the mountain for a few hours during our stay, but the properties BACKUP GENERATOR provided full power to the house with zero interruptions for the entire outage. Finally, the nature on the mountain is truly soul refreshing every time you step out the door, and the Crabtree Falls just two minutes down the road were very beautiful with a paved walking path right up to the falls for easy access. I truly can’t say enough about Monica and this property!
