"We liked having the kitchenette so we could fix our own simple meal. With a table that seated four, we could play cards afterwards with friends from another room. Our only problem was not knowing how to check in since we did not receive instructions, and there is no staff to greet guests. We called the manager and he gave us instructions, so that was fine. It turned out that he had not realized that we had a U.S. phone number, and the text with instructions had gone somewhere else. "

Overall - a lovely place to stay but you need to know about the parking, laundry, etc. The booking info on Orbitz said there was free breakfast and underground parking. Neither was true. "The Altstadthotel Weisses Kreuz is a unique hotel in the middle of the old town of Innsbruck. It is probably one of the best locations in town. The building has so much character being from 1465, yet the rooms are modern and top notch, with smart A/C that turns off when the windows are opened. It is a small business and the owners work themselves at the reception and the bar. Yes, bar and reception are both the same and they are on the 6th floor of the building! I rented one of their smallest room without breakfast for only a couple of nights, and the staff made me feel like I was their only guest. Incredible hospitality. I will recommend this place in one breath with Innsbruck. "
